Very new to modding. I’m currently waiting for all my parts to show up.
I was curious if I can use a Tir lens on my Convoy m1 build? If so what size will I need and a link to purchase it from would be great.
Or just use stock op reflector?
You can use 30mm carclo tir with extra 6-7mm spacer.
You can use stock reflector as well, it probably requires led hole enlargement with some custom led centering/spacer ring.
So I would need to use two 18350’s correct?
This depends on what driver you bought?

Okay did you ask for it to be zener modded? Is it a 6v driver? Did you order a 6v LED?

It’s probably not what you want to hear, but a 70.2 might have helped with that
It would fix the hot spot?
I can’t say for sure, as I haven’t built that config myself. But the dies in the 70.2 are closer and completely covered with the phosphor. It seems to help with the donut hole situation. I’ve heard playing with the reflector position (how far the LED sits in the reflector) can also help.
I did a similar build using an xph50 and got the same results.When the 50.2 came out I swap it for the 50 and it improved the beam a lot. White walling you can still see a darker area in the center, but it’s not noticeable in normal use.I would think switching to a XPH70.2 in your build would help as well.Good luck!
