Suggestion for Nitecore HC30 VS HC60

Hi,

Currently, my old Petzl has dead due to permeate of water vapor. Very humid in my country. I’m looking for a new headlamp for mountaineering use, like climbing snow mountain and night hike. Originally, I thought to buy Nitecore HC30 from Amazon $54.95. However, I see fasttech is selling the HC60 for $43.58 today. Should I change? Or other headlamp suggestions?

I would like to have a strong duration in time, water resistance IPX7 or above, and light headlamp.

Hi Dean,

Welcome.

I have both the headlamps and love both. The Hc30 is lighter with multipurpose use (headlamp/Flashlight). HC60 heavier, but has usb charging port. Depending what is
important to you, but can’t go wrong with either. There are codes in the forum for both lights at gearbest that drops the price to $37 for HC30 and similar price for the HC60.
Another headlamp that you might want to check out is the thrunite TH20 and Skillhunt H03 which I also have.

Anyways, good luck with your search.

Hi,

All the headlight mentioned above are good. There is also a groupbuy here for the new Nitecore HC33 here. Its 1800 lumen, maybe it can be an option if you can wait a little.

Hey mate you can score the HC30 cheaper then that price with coupons. I have 2 HC30s they are great lights. High output and light weight the headband is comfy but not the best quality mine has worn out.
What sort of output and run times are you looking for?

Thanks your reply bro.
I am looking for 18650 battery input. 20, 70, 150 - lumens, and 25+hrs, 15hrs, 8 hrs respectively.
If the headlamp also has a super powerful lumens, it would be the best. I can use it for night photo taking decoration.

Thanks all the replies. You guys give me good suggestions. I will go through all the suggestions.
