walking dog at night (excuse to test lights)

So I have this thing as it starts to get dark outside in fall/winter. I usually wait until it gets dark to walk my dogs and I walk in the forest and along some dirt road with fields, just so I can test my lights, and I don't mind darkness since it gives me an excuse to use my lights. I know I could just go somewhere better lit but I don't haha. Something about going out when it's dark too, so quiet and peaceful, sure it can be a bit spooky and you might see some animals but then you blind them and scare them away or hit them in the head with the thorfire s70 haha.Just about using your lights. What else do we have lights for haha. My dogs don't seem to mind either but they bark if they see some animals haha.

hmm… for collecting. :innocent:

Me to best reason for dog walks

I like going to the beach with my dog rusty. He chases the ghost crabs. Great place to test flashlights .

haha yeah that's true

I understand!! I look forward to my night hikes with CAPO on the trail. I use to hate when it gets dark at 5:15/30 during winter. Now I like it becuase I have a lot of awesome torches to bring with me. CAPO loves my lights also. Most of my lights are modified throwers. We can light up any animal or anything hundreds of yards/meters away!

Yes,it is quiet and peaceful especially in the winter when it is rare if we see anyone.

One of the trails we hike with the TK61vn V4

K60vn XHP70 Shaved dome. Utility Pole 300 yuards/274Meters

The LEAD Dog CAPO!!!

Beautiful dog! That light seems nice too, I had a problem with shaved xhp70 burning up, because there was left over material on the dome so thin it burned the led. I'm building an acebeam clone, ultrafire u-f19 converted to 2s with fx-30 driver

awesome

indeed

I mainly enjoy/use my lights when camping, to walk the trails at night and spot animals with the family. Since I provide the lights, I get to see many in action at once.

BTW My son and family just arrived at Helsinki yesterday hoping to catch a view of the Aurora Borealis. What are their chances?

Hmm, I don't live near Helsinki, I live in ostrobothnia, mostly seedish speaking area. I've seen the aurora borealis or northern lights only like twice maybe, atleat where I live they're very rare! But maybe you'll see it.
