Refurbished Nitecore P25 from Gearbest?

Hi, everyone!
A few years ago I wanted to buy this flashlight Nitecore P25 Smilodon. It was a dream. But too expensive for those part of my life.
Suddenly I saw a wonderful price for this flashlight on the Gearbest Deals Page. In same moment this flashlight was bought.
In 10-11 days after paying the flashlight still was “pre-advised”, but not shipped phisical.
But what is 10-11 days for man who can wait some years?))
So, today my Smilodon was received from the Post Office. The package was unpacked… and… the first thought was “WTF”?!
1.The protection silicone of the button is torn and button has traces of rust.
2. The charger port have a signs of glue for SMD components, so mainboard, I think, have it too.
3. The battery tube is extreamly dirty inside.
4. The positive contact plate have a signs of use and soldered crookedly.
5. It was too much grease with a lot of large aluminum dust.

I am very surprised that Gearbest start to sell refurbished items like new. Or it is something else? Any suggestions?

Sad dodgy selling practice from Gearbest. Demand refund. Hope you used PayPal.

I hope we hear back from you SOON, that this was corrected immediately by them.

No need to make you jump through any hoops, your pics tell the story wuite well!

Did Gearbest state that the flashlight was in new condition? Did they charge close to regular price? Did they post any photos of the actual flashlight?

How nice of gear best to now be selling sub par products as new. what a joke! My experience with gear best lately has been very bad and I won’t buy from them again, especially now that I have heard your story too. I bet they will offer you 200 GB points (5.00). Don’t accept that offer, demand your money back like the other posters have said

They will try too fool you offering less points ,full points, less money…… writting hundreds of emails and delaying how much they can a fair solution.
Accept nothing just full refund or resend.
If you paid by PP open claim.
Gearbest have NO respect for customers.

well this is more or less standard for all those kind of sites, even banggood fasttech and all others use same tactics if something defective they will do anything but pay back refund…

really strange they could sell something like that, looks like someone before sent it back and they decided to sell it later in future on to another customer in that condition ? not ok!

gearbest or banggood does not sell refurbished or used items, why would anyone buy from those sites used? then i might aswell use ebay instead if i wanted…

People, you know what is strange for me in this story?
I want to know WHO has repair this flashlight. The housing look likes new.
All accessories of flashlight too.
Only the button and internal electronic components have traces of previous use.

Do you think that Niteсore itself can do such things?
This is the only answer that comes to my mind.

I wrote a letter to the Nitecore company asking to comment on this case, and, perhaps, somehow help.

Hi!
In few words: I've bought a new Nitecore P25 from Gearbest.com.
Yesterday I've received a flashlight and was very dissapointed - the flashlight is refurbished.

I am a member of http://budgetlightforum.com/ and has opened new topic about this accident.

Gearbest Customer support does not want to explain the reason why the refurbished flashlight is sold as new.
Can you help solve this problem?

Best Regards, Alex.

So far I'm waiting for their response.

sloppily built counterfeit?

No, this is the original that has already been repaired. And sold as new.

Why do you think it’s refurbished? It seems to me that it was used and returned to Gearbest.

I have several Nitecore Flashlights and that is not how you are supposed to receive them.

Looks like someone used two broken p25’s to make one functional.

You should get a refund.

SMD glue (red) and new housing.
See the photos.

I also jumped on this P25 for the same reasons as you did. My package still hasn’t arrived yet but I’ll keep an eye out for signs of refurbishment. Thanks a lot for raising the issue here.
