Another one bites the bezel

Hey folks!

finally decided to sign up on this board. I am 30 years old and I live in germany. I've been fond of flashlights pretty much all of my life, but I was always disappointed with their performance and I never could afford the big boys... So I was stuck with a 2AA Mag and one of these multiple 5mm-LED-lights for years.

Just a few months ago I discovered that nowadays you can get quite a good flashlight for little money, and now I think I'm heavily addicted...

These are my recent purchases, in Order of appearance:

SAIK SA-15 (a 2AA flashlight that doesn't seem to be very common)
Romisen RC-G2 (you probably know that one)
SAIK SA-9 Zoomie (looks a little bit like the doomsday machine from the old star trek series)
MXDL 3w AAA clickie (not the best performer, but quite usable for low-range-tasks)
Ultrafire A3 (my pocket rocket)
Klarus P2A (by far my favourite light!)

I am currently trying out lots of cheapies just to see what's out there. Some of these will probably have to go again.

I'm looking forward to browse through all the information here, and maybe I can even contribute some reviews.

Oh, and since I noticed that some people always seem to have similar interests - I am also interested in knives, lighters, fountain pens and hats ;)

Have a nice day!

Steve

Welcome Steve!

Be prepared to spend some money now that your addicted.

Welcome .

Welcome to BLF, Steve! Sounds you already fit right in. Isn't it funny how we flashaholics all seem to be wired for the same interests? :)

Johnny

Welcome to BLF. I have that MXDL light and I quite like it.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

This is the MXDL light I mentioned:

LED is probably a generic one. Brightness looks like around 15 lumens, rather floody. Draws about 200 mA from an eneloop cell, it's enough for looking for keys or things like reading a map at night.

I only paid € 1.99, so maybe I'll order some to give them away :)

and good to have you here

But beware - here is some serious input to feed that " I must have" gene.
