I unwrapped the Olight S1 Mini Battery

Olight ships 650mAh 16340 cells with built-in charging with their S1 Mini lights. They’re very small cells. Even with the protection circuit and the charging circuit, they’re only 34mm long. As it turns out, Olight uses 16300 cells instead of 16340 cells. I can’t find these anywhere, so I think Olight might be making them in-house.

wow thats cheating … olight shame on u!

LOL

lol @olight in this case firedome!

Not hceating IMO, the cell is still 16mm * 34mm which is really cool

Olight hasn’t set up a battery factory and equipment to make cells. They are probably coming from this company. ChangDe Yiklik Energy. Here’s their spec sheet

Are they really 650mah? I feel ripped of by buying 16340s now lol.

I just read the data sheet they appear to be proper 650mah at low current draw.

Thank you for doing that. That is interesting!

I won that light in a GAW on December 8th and it is due to arrive on Monday! :+1:

Now I wonder how the battery in the Klarus Mi1C compares. Wonder if they are sourcing their batteries from the same place.

But impressive capacity considering they are only using 16300 cells. Especially as they are apparently capable of supplying the current to hit 600 lumens.

good info!
0light, Klarus and Fenix all sell that mini usb 16340 cell
I wonder if it has the same capacity as then non usb version

they are the same size as protected non usb 16340
