Tube Light with Maximum Throw

Hi all. I am interested in a single 18650 tube light with maximum throw. I have a Jaxman E2L triple, so I am covered for flood. I am only interested in tube a tube light, as I do have a larger light (EagleEye X6) that is a thrower. Does anything in the tube light class beat the Nitecore P12GT? Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Frank A.

Maximum throw in a small tube? How about a laser?

Okay, I am in the same quest as you, and I just ordered a Zebralight SC600w MkIV HI. 1400 lumens, neutral white, with a XHP35 HI emitter for good throw. You can get the cool white version for more output and throw, though I prefer nw.

I haven’t received it yet, but I think it should have the same candella as the Nitecore. More lumens, though, so the hotspot should be a bit more useful. I think it is smaller than the Nitecore, since that’s what Zebralight specializes in. Very nice UI too, and they’ve updated it with the mkIV release to add much more programability.

Emisar D1S, XT12GT, Olight M2X-UT, Nitecore P30, Utorch UT02 there are many more options

How about the Emisar D1 if you don’t want a large reflector? For $40 you get top notch quality and 43k cd. :sunglasses:

None of those are tube lights.

The P12GT and MH12GT are the ones with most throw.

I always thought it was funny how the only flashlight named “Tube” is actually not tube shaped like most flashlights…

haha yup :stuck_out_tongue:

Mod an S2 with an osram synios LED. Right, enderman? Should be able to get 60-70Kcd.

Yeah
But if he’s talking about stock lights, I haven’t found anything better than the MH12GT/P12GT

I agree with enderman mh12gt and p12gt probably bset stock tube throwers. When I first got into this addiction, I mean hobby, I was really interested In these two lights (Eastshine T25 Eastshine Rt25 ) I found on amazon. They have nearly identical specs as the p12gt and It uses the Same emitter ( xpl hi). It looks almost identical with a few small differences. They have 2 models the t25 and the rt25. Only difference is the rt25 comes with a USB charging port and the other doesnt. They both have good reviews on amazon but was skeptical because there were no reviews or info on them here or over at cpf. Has anybody purchased or used these?

Those knockoffs/clones almost always use fake cree LEDs or underpowered drivers (or sometimes no driver at all!)
So yeah, I recommend you buy something from a reputable manufacturer like fenix, nitecore, klarus, lumintop, eagletac, thrunite, etc.

The S2 has a deeper reflector than the S2+, so should scare up a bit more throw.

’Though ultimately, a tweaked zoomie might get even more throw, as long as you don’t mind losing half or more available lumens.

Ain’t a fan of zoomies for that reason, but am just throwing (haha) it out there.

The best throw/size ratio you can get that still fits in your pocket is probably the Emisar D1. It’s not a true tube light but it is really compact.
