858D clone hot air station has no earth pin?

Hey folks i need some expert advise. I scored a clone 858D hot air station for cheap about 18 AUD so around 15 USD? Cheap right? So it appears it has no earth connected. Firstly the plug is only 2 pole and has no earth pin. So derrrr on my part lol.

So i would be guessing its double insulated except the body is all metal it is anodized so its not conducive when i checked with my multimeter. The top of the air gun is bare metal and that is where the sweet 240v reaches the heating element. The heat gun does have a transformer but i do not think it could switch 600w so i am assuming the heater runs on mains?
There is a yellow wire that appears to be a earth and i traced it back to the main board this yellow wire also seems to have a fuse of some sort connected to it. This apparent earth cable is just floating in the nozzle of the heat gun it is not physically connected to the bare metal besides being pressed across it.

Lets give the heat gun a chance if it was double insulated what would need to be isolated? I did check for mains voltage at the nozzle and it is okay for now. I would guess its a closed earth system hooked up to the main fuse.

What should i do with heat gun? I will take some pics now and add them.

At least you didn’t end up like this guy:

Apparently this issue has been reported since 2011 (!) and it still occurs:

However, with this model you’d also flash a different software:

I have the next-gen portable hot air model 8858, much better IMO.
