Looking for Quick Charge 3.0 multi-port wall charger

Here are the requirements:

  1. has either 3 or 4 USB ports total
  2. At least one of the ports supports QC 3.0
  3. The remaining ports must be able to deliver 5V / 2.4A each, concurrently
  4. US plug
  5. Low price would be nice
  6. Not catching on fire would be nice

The reason I listed #6 is that some of the charger reviews on Amazon meet requirements 1-5, but then seem to have some serious safety issues reported.

So far, I am leaning toward this one: http://a.co/7HgiQ0G

I was just wondering if if there is something that costs less that you guys may be aware of.

Thanks!

Calculate the wattage you want. The one you linked looks pretty close to what you want.

An alternative - 80w with 4* qc3 ports

I’ve only been using this one for about 2 weeks. No fires so far! :+1:

I have this aukey 6 port one and it has worked grest for me. Also have their car charger and have never had any problems with it.

They also have a 5 port one ,but it’s more expensive than the six port. I’m assuming more ports than 4 is ok for you.

I’ve been using that same Aukey 6 port charger for months now and am very happy with it.

Is this a recommendation of what NOT to buy?

Thanks, but the remaining 3 non-QC3 ports cannot deliver 2.4A concurrently.

That is also a bit much to demand, but it is on the weak side.
Check this list for ideas: http://lygte-info.dk/info/ChargerIndex%203p4A%20UK.html

Anker or Aukey are the safest bets, there’s reviews of each here: http://lygte-info.dk/, Anker comes out a little better.

I have a 5 port and a 6 port anker and have never had problems with them, had the 5 port for about 3 years now.

6 port anker: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P936188/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
5 port anker: Amazon.com

Neither one of these supports QC 3.0.

here’s the one that actually does: https://smile.amazon.com/Anker-Charge-Charger-PowerPort-PowerIQ/dp/B01IUTIUEA/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1517840536&sr=8-8&keywords=anker+quick+charge

yeah sorry about that, i linked to the ones i own

l have checked that too. While it has 2 QC 3.0, the remaining ports are not 2.4a as required by the op.

Thanks. Looks nice, but the total output is stated as 40W, so at 5V that would translate to 8A of current. If you take away 3A for the QC3 port, then that leaves you 5A for the remaining 4 ports. 5A ÷ 4 = 1.25A per port, on average.

Also, when I select the US plug, it says it’s “discontinued.”

At this point, I’m still leaning toward the one I linked to in my original post as it seems to come the closest to my requirements since I haven’t been able to find anything comparable that costs less.

Thanks all.

What is it you’re likely to be charging concurrently? Will they all pull 2 amp charge each? If you are going to plug in more than one phone or a phone and tablet then only one of them will be getting the fast charge of QC3.

If you’re planning small battery powered stuff e.g. - I have various things like Bluetooth headphones , action-cams etc…with small capacity batteries. They never take more than 0.5 amp when charging and you’ll be fine.

Phone, tablet, various Li-Ion battery chargers, power banks, etc.
