Manfred Mann can answer to this question..., anyway , thanks for reminding me about this song .., somehow I missed it !!!
Sorry , I was joking (or not...) , depending on the circumstances , how dark it is , how sensitive is the person to light , I think that a minimum of 500 Lumens will be enough. This is not valid for animals...!
Blinded by the ligh………………………. dam, thanks for that.
gave a friend an S2, left it on in his bag, probably could have stick welded with that thing afterwards,
i asked the question a few weeks ago about security light, with go too lights for bed side tables, had no answers, i think i put it in the wrong category too.
modded C8 for me atm, nice direct beem straight down the yard fence line or street, and blinding it shone at someones face.
As much as i love the two switch tailcap, with direct strobe, ive had reliability issues with the one i had, made me a bit reluctant over the capacitance type switches, mechanical switch still most reliable for when you really need it.
Blindedd by the light, reved up by the…………………………………… thats not going away anytime soon.
side note:
Although the most popular version of the song was recorded by Manfred Mann’s Earth Band,
it was originally written and recorded by Bruce Springsteen, and his version is pretty good too.
Fans of this song should check out the original version by Springsteen
I agree that I would only rely on a light if it’s the only thing you’re allowed to carry, but having said that, I’m curious what the experts think of my thoughts.
It seems something with a tighter beam would be more effective than a flood light. The intensity should increase the effective distance. Am I correct in that?
So if I intended to use it as a defense tool, a tube light would probably be out for me. Minimum Convoy M1/M2, Thorfire VG10s, Jaxman M8, but even better a high quality C8 or an Emisar D1(s), depending on how big your pockets are.
