Just went through the washing machine unscathed, no fog in the head or water in the body, no scratches and working perfectly despite my stupidity

Yeah, I got quite a few of those, too. Big Smile

Nice, lightweight, bright for an AAA, no quirks like NMM, just a nice straightforward light.

Astrolux A01 / Manker Boney — Essentially the same, the A01 had quite a few with NMM, but mine doesn’t (gray). The Boney is I think 1-mode only, which I’d probably prefer.

Odepro EA01 — Really nice simple elegant light. Got one to review, ruined it with a f’n alkaleak. Discontinued… just my luck. Contacted the nice folx at Odepro (hi Jenna!), scored me another one for <10bux.

Lumintop AAA Nichia — Beautiful light, sturdy, well-built, but annoying UI that insists on always starting on M, and no memory. Sorry, but I’d rather have a 1-mode donk that was permanently stuck on medium, than a light with modes that always comes on on medium vs having memory or starting on low so you don’t blind yourself at night

Zanflare F3 — Just got one today, impressed! Typische Zanflare elegance (eg, “spline” knurling like the F1), good mode spacing with a new AAA (didn’t try yet with an eneloop), firm switch that oozes “decisiveness”, ie, ain’t mooshy at all. A bit too cool-white for my taste, but still a nice light.

Already mentioned the Glaree, also a nice simple light, thinwall tubing making it really lightweight, probably would be a great zipper-pull on a jacket. Nowhere nearly as “hefty” as the Zanflare or Lumintop. (Neither is good nor bad, just depends on what you want/need/expect of the light in question.)

Gotta mention the Jetbeam µ, ‘though I ain’t got one. Lotta people like it.

Wow… and I usually crap on AAA lights as “better’n nothing… but not by much”. Big Smile

Yup, it is quite expensive Sad
I forgot to mention that this light “appeared” on this thread : http://budgetlightforum.com/node/59748

The 500 lumens are attractive (even if they don’t last much), as is the side button instead of twisty. But that price is killing me Sick

So…has anyone tried that RovyVon A2 already?
I see it’s available on e-bay with international shipping for as little as $80.
BTW, there’s also a plastic variant, cheaper. And actually better for me because of lower weight, though I do wonder how it handles the heat.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CP6CFX9

ADDED: On their site they have also aluminum A3:
http://www.rovyvon8.com/products/c-31/40.html

And a placeholder for titanium.

I would or will contact the manufacturer to see if they have these for sale in Europe, or at least if they have a cheap way to ship it to European buyers ! If I get an answer, I will post it here Thumbs Up

Yeah, I mailed them already.

BTW, since posting the above I found that titanium version is on Amazon already. And has 2 tritium slots. But the price…..could be better.

Just sent an e-mail as well Wink Did you get any answer yet?
Hum, that Ti version is sweet, but I would be more inclined to the black version (maybe aluminum)!
Apart from being expensive, having a very huge shipping fee and eventually a short capacity battery, these little lights have an awesome look!

Let’s see if they answer our mails! Thumbs Up

And thanks for showing their site, I hadn’t seen it before !

Have had this on my keys for a year and no complaints. Crazy bright for size. Another Nicron that runs on LR44s.

NICRON 0.25 W Convex Mirror LED Micro Keychain Flashlight

Dunno what the “convex mirror” part is about though Wink

So, yesterday I received a reply from RovyVon Team! Here it is:

Quote:
We will open our store on the Amazon European market. Of course we can ship to you from China by the international parcel. The delivery time is 25 to 30 workdays. We can accept Paypal payment way.

I also mentioned some other people from BLF would be interested in their lights, and they suggested to make a joint order (that will not be possible as we are from different countries).

So…that’s it! Now I’ll just save some money to get one of those small beauties Wink

Olight i1R EOS. Really tiny, really lightweight. Low/high modes and silky smooth twisting action. I know, I know, non-replaceable cell but this thing is great! I just love mine.

I’ve got discussion with them over the weekend too. I can add to that that the shipping cost to Poland is $6. Not bad. Smile

Nitecore Tube good as the cheap keychain flashlight But SureFire Sidekick is the beast. 300 lumens keychain flashlight brightness can easily beat low-quality 1000 lumens flashlight. But, the price is high. Here is my favorite keychain flashlight list: Best Keychain Flashlight 2018 for Everyday Use.

I notice that although this particular forum includes coin cell lights it is the more expensive lights that are chosen. I have purchased MANYof the coin cell lights off ebay for less than $4.00 for 10 lights. Those are what I used on my key ring until the Olight i3EEOS came along.
The ebay light last a long time and give enough light to light up a room in the dark.

Would someone please tell me why these cheap (budget) lights are not liked?
Thanks,
Jerry

I like them very much, same goes for everyone I know that got one from me for their keychains. At any given moment, at least 20 of them, in various colors are in one of my boxes to use on zippers, keychains, gift etc. They are great for what they are but, for some unknown reason, I don’t count them as flashlights.
