SolarForce 6pc (18650) Battery Case. Would you buy it again?

I’m thinking about buying 2-3 SolarForce (6pc / 18650) Battery cases
Those of you that have them, what are your thoughts? Are they built pretty solid?

I’m attracted to them because of the clamshell design.

Solarforce makes a great case … can’t go wrong. A little pricey.

I like these … https://www.gearbest.com/led-accessories/pp_582742.html

Especially with a coupon … I own 5 and have no complaints.

5pcs for $8 you can’t beat that.
How are they holding up?

I have not conducted a water test with batteries installed. But I have traveled with the cases while boating and rainy conditions with no leaks to report. I did submerge an emty sealed case and no leakage. I am sure others here have some experience with these fine cases and might share their opinions.

I recommend them …

Thanks for responding :+1:
The SolarForce are a little pricey. They appear to be a quality case though

Very solid case and the silicone seal fits great. Had mine for years but after a single drop from 3ft high the hinge part developed a crack, but still in one piece and works fine.

Solarforce are great and not dedicated to 18650 diameter batteries. Great for 26650’s. Build is very tuff.

Pelican. I never thought of that brand being so small. I might look into them :+1:

Thanks for the response, Will :+1:

To answer the original question, no I wouldn’t buy it again, instead I would just store my cells in cheap cases and if I ever need to take my cells to the wet and need to ensure waterproofness I would use something like this:

Fits 4x18650 with some height to spare.

Nice Delrin case. (Hmm, I have some stock of Delrin rod in different diameters. You have me thinking now! )
I can get two Pelican micros for a tad more.

I just got the Solarforce case about two days ago. Looks sharp, great for a backpack and i like the way it seals. Will34 mentioned a crack, i agree the plastic seems like the kind that would shatter on impact other than that im ordering a few more. Hope that helps.

After a long look at everything available, I ended up getting four Pelican 1010 Micros.
