Need advice about the Jaxman E2L flashlight.

Just purchased a Jaxman E2L flashlight. I understand that unprotected 18650 batteries with capacity of 3400mah are recommended. The only unprotected 18650’s I own are Samsung 30Q’s. Anybody run this type of battery in the E2L without any problems? Thanks.

30Q worked great for me. But I only did that briefly before I switched my E2L to an Aspire 18350.

30Q plus 2

The E2L uses less than 3A, so they recommend unprotected batteries because protected ones would be too long to fit.

3400 or 3500mAh would last longer but the 30Q should work well. However it won’t be any brighter than a lower current, higher capacity battery as the driver current is fixed.

I don’t know of any 3400mAh unprotected 18650 batteries?

These are rated at 3500mah:

They come in both button top and flat top models.

3400 mAh would be a synonym for Sanyo/Panasonic NCR18650B without specifying a brand so they don’t show favoritism.

Just wanted to be sure to use a safe battery in the E2L. Thanks for the answers.

Purchased mine from Fasttech because on Jaxman’s aliexpress site light gray body color with a neutral or warm tint was not currently an option.

I use Protected EVVA NCR18650GA in both my Jaxman E2Ls and they fit perfectly. Honestly 30Q’s are overkill for that light since the driver only draws 2.1 Amps.
