Please help me decide.

So I have narrowed down my options to one of these four. Looking for some more experienced input. Already have a few BLF’s headed this way but was looking at these as well.

Olight M2R
Fenix PD35
Nitecore MH23 or R40

I like more of a thrower than a flood.

I would appreciate any feedback, positive or negative.

MH23 or wait for MH23GT

Any idea on what the additional features of the GT may be?

Why not the MH20GT? It has way more throw than the MH23(362m vs 294m)
The MH23 has 800 more lumens, but lacks in beam intensity also, (21600cd vs 33000cd)

If they come with a MH23GT, i bet theyre going to replace the LED, and also make the reflector even deeper, just a few mm makes a big difference.
And maybe also squeeze the lumen up to 2000

I have the MH20, MH20GT, and a MH23 on the way, when i get it i can give my opinion vs the rest.
I remember how shocked i got when i tested the MH20GT vs the MH20.

The 20GT huh? Okay, I will take a look at that as well. Way to many decisions to make. I was really liking the look of the Olight with the tail cap charging, super quiet tail switch and a side button as well. I best take advise from others who know more than me though. I have been buying all kinds of lights for years. Have never had a really well built nice one. Just budget lights, some of them are fairly decent but more often than not they are just junk after 6 months or so. If they last that long.

I have been doing a lot of reading on the specs of different LED’s, drivers, and FET’s. Amazing to me how some companies can claim crazy lumen output with a LED that can only deliver half that claim in optimal conditions. Oh well I will keep reading and learning. I have tons of flashlight parts to experiment with too.

Thanks,
Todd
