I stacked 2 of these washers: https://www.ebay.com/itm/x5pcs-M16-Copper-Washers-16mm-Flat-Findings/190... There was a slight gap between the head and battery tube afterwards so I covered it with a rubber o-ring.

if u stack 3 washers would it work without the o-ring?

You only need 2 of those washers to make contact with the head. You don’t need the o-ring for it to work. I only added it to hide the gap on the outside.
