A researcher for The Gadget Show reached out to the forum asking if it was possible to get hold of a BLF GT for a new show that they was planning to film.
It was highly unlikely that they would get hold of a GT in time so I let them use mine for filming.
I also gave them an Emisar D4 to play with.
They sourced a DX80 from TACLIGHT to use alongside some other lights. They had some top quality gear and I am looking forward to seeing the show when it airs in a month or so.
Be warned that this is first and foremost an entertainment program so I wouldn’t expect the same level of thoroughness you often see in reviews here. On the plus side, they’ll have obviously have serious video equipment and the skills to use it well so I’m hoping for some nice footage of them in action.
Sure it is entertainment and they’re not going to do really thorough reviews of the lights. From what I know about this episode it seems that these lights all got used PROPERLY and hopefully we’ll see how different lights compare in different situations.
I wont say which light/tool was used to win the challenge but it seems they all got used a lot.
I’ve never heard of the show, but it looks right up my ally. It looks like they have set a few Guinness World Records. I’d like to see the GT thrower set the record for the worlds farthest throwing production led flashlight.
Everybody is very excited about it, by the looks of it. But I need a bit more information, apparently. My cable-TV has a lot of (shot behind the kitchen table) local channels but no Channel 5. Any suggestions how someone from abroad can watch it?
