The c8 certainly seems like an awesome thrower for the price, with the possibility of modding to boot!
Is the one on the Convoy store on that alix website the right place to get it from? I was thinking with the XP-L HI U6 3A led, though I've heard good things of the U6 4C version too, so I'm not sure which led to get. I like neutral white, both my thrunite lights are neutral white, but faced between U6 3A and U6 4C I have no idea.
I similarly have more homework to do regarding chip numbers and mode options. And is there a newer version should be aware of?
The thing I'm most interested in right know is about those little aaa twisty keychain lights. Mods, lifespan, repairs, etc!
Resistance is futile..,all of us got thru this !... An empty wallet will temper your urge , especially when the bills are coming , trust me , I was there , too many times !
As Cera said, we’ve all been there, cant spend anymore this month, spent a bit too much actually
You can’t go wrong on a C8, that is if you buy a convoy one from Simon!
C8 handles heat very well, so i would say, get it with 8x 7135 and be sure to get it with Biscotti FW, way better then the standard 3 mode with the annoying blink on low.
Hello Pablo de Llama, welcome to BLF. Typical Irish name?
About the C8, good choice. And preferably from Simon at AE.
From a quality point of view: Simon’s light are well made and are also quite forgiving.
They can withstand (some) abuse. My oldest Convoy S2 can be locked-out, even after I baked it at 300C.
I guess I’m kind of a lock-out freak, due to earliest memories. My/our lights never worked when you needed them.
I have C8’s from others than Convoy that don’t lock out because of crappy ano, even fresh out of the box.
Edit: @raccoon city. Sorry it took me a while: MILESTONE.
