Picked this up a few weeks ago on Amazon. Not spam and i’m not affiliated, just found it and thought it was cool.
Pretty handy little thing. Has needle nose pliers, small phillips, small flat blade, small knife blade, and a small file. Comes in a cool little gift tin too. Thought a few of you might be able to put something like this in your pocket for your everyday carry stuff.
very nice tool! you’d be right at home in the garage forums out there.
But also perfect for sharing here. This could be the ideal companion with an EDC flashlight.
Can’t beat a good Leatherman. I don’t mind paying a little extra for quality stuff sometimes. I carry around so much stuff that I am trying to make all the items smaller so I can actually put a hand in my pockets. My wife can get her hands in there just fine but, for some reason she is always in the credit card/money pocket.
I carry a Leatherman Wave every time I wear a belt, it’s about 20 years old now.
I have leather and keep telling myself I’ll make a flashlight/pen/multitool combination pouch sometime, but I never get around to it.
There is also the option of the Victorinox SwissTool series.
Rather more expensive, but the fit and finish, quality of the SwissTool Spirit is a level above most Leathermans, according to most people who own one.
I don't have one, but then again I've spent a total of $3 on plier-based multitools so far.
(A used leatherman Kick, and a free sog poweraccess)
Take a look at the Leatherman nylon sheath. It comes in two sizes. It also has small carry slots in back of the tool and to either side. It might give you some ideas for a leather version.
I got one with my Wave and carry extra bits in the back panel. I bought some extras and carry a Wingman with a Lumintop Tool AAA on one side and a PIlot G2 Mini on the other.
Skinths might be interesting to look at, also. I have an L-Shield version.
The concept behind them is a skinny sheath that can carry more than a multitool, Usually a variation of AAA light (or a chapstick), pen, "One piece tool" and multitool, but some are much bigger.
That’s mine as well
Offered to me 3 years ago on birthday, as I probably wouldn’t pay that much! I find it the ideal size to carry in the pocket, but normally i carry it on the backpack along with other stuff!
Great tools, excellent quality (despite mine has some points of rust) and very portable!! :+1:
I’m almost never without my Leatherman Wave. In fact, for Christmas my kids got me a replacement Nylon sheath for it since I wore out the old one. I found the Wave on the clearance rack in a Home Depot, missing the sheath and got a good deal. It replaced a PST II that I carried for a very long time. The sheath does indeed have room for the flat bit kit and bit extender, so that also is always with me.
On my keychain is a Leatherman Squirt P4. It’s a minimum of 15 years old, and works just fine. I wish I purchased the Squirt that was available for a while with a wire stripper rather than pliers. Hmmm. perhaps it it time to look again to see what is available…
For sure, it is a bit expensive! But the quality and size are top, mostly for pocket carrying!
Some months ago I bought this (not pliers, but a scissor) and the size is great (close to the LM Squirt), the price is super good, but the quality - despite all - is not as Leatherman.
By that time I also looked upon these (for my specific needs):
