Very Nice :+1:
Thanks! It was my first try with making a custom handle scale.
Nice work! What kind of wood is that? Some variety of Rosewood?
Thank you! It’s kwila. Usually they use it for flooring.
You should get into pistol scales. I bought a few Cocobolo scales for a ‘Colt’ Norinco 1911A1 and the guy had a cottage industry selling them on Ebay and using all sorts of nice woods.
He wasn’t great at packing them, but I have a couple here.

Those scales have a nice pattern too. :+1:
I stumbled upon this piece of kwila in the garage of a good friend of mine. That inspired the whole project. Fortunately I enjoy working with wood.
You’re in the EU, so I don’t know what red tape you’d have to possibly jump through and I don’t know how many of you guys actually own handguns and even 1911s, but gun guys like to play ‘dress up’ like any other group and I think that I was paying $30-$40 for a set of scales shipped, depending on the wood used.
Walnut, Cocobolo, Ebony, Zebrawood, the sky’s the limit. Get yourself some quick jigs made up and ‘retire early, making 20%’.
Chris
Ok, if I start my business I will send my first pair of scales to you for testing.

Cool!
Thanks!
I decided to mod the handle of my ROC clone (the black one) forming a sort of finger choil in order to have a better grip on it. I also rounded the sharp corner of the lock-bar. You can find the rest of the pics here.
I decided to pimp my Kershaws a bit:
