Recommendations for a rechargeable 18650 flashlight with red diffuser.

Hi there,

At our work we use 5x rechargeable 3D Maglite’s with red cone diffusers, our Maglite’s are at the end of their lives, all need new battery packs and the chargers are mostly broken, lights are in bad shape. The lights are used in parking garages and parking lots, to guide people and little surveillance work.

Since I am the head of technical department and they know I have this new flashlight hobby, they ask me to check around.

This time I decided to get 10x budget rechargeable flashlights with 18650 batteries and red diffusers, first I thought about Convoy S9 since I have one I could test it with S2+ diffusers and those fit on S9, but it is fairly small flashlight for our work, and USB port to charge is fragile for my co-workers, they can destroy anything. The diffuser is bright and big enough that’s not an issue.

Than I was thinking about Convoy BD02, better charging option and it is big enough, but there is no diffusers for BD02, I send a message to Simon (Convoy) and he confirmed that he don’t have diffusers for BD01, head diameter is 41.5mm but I couldn’t find any other brand diffuser that will fit.
The co-workers don’t want big Maglite like lights anymore, because of the weight and carrying difficulty since they also do another work like carrying barriers and such.

So I am left with S9, a red S2+ diffuser and S2+ holster (S9 fits in there just tested), I also have to buy batteries obviously.

I thought I can better ask here, since I am fairly new to flashlights.
The budget for each light fully equipped is around 36USD and the brand we get needs to have spare parts, this is for testing purposes if it starts to fall apart after a year or two we still can go back to Maglite’s

Any recommendations? Thanks

Oh sorry Wildcat, I forgot to mention, the charging needs to happen on the flashlight itself, not with separate charger.
Thanks for your suggestion though!
