And I wonder how I stay broke all the time.

Not really a Black Friday deal but I just ordered this , this , and this for ~$65 .

I love dealing with Shiningbeam and I think anyone would be happy with this combo .

2 c2 DIY bodies from Dx at 50% discount,
a Nextorch myTORCH 3xAAA from GoingGear at 50% discount,
a C8 Warm Q5 bundle from DD at some discount,
and a couple of C8 holsters from intlOutdoor.

just got the olight i1 from battery junction.

2 & 3 cell LED Maglites as well as some LED Mini-Maglites from Lowes.

A couple C8 holsters from IO.

was one blue? lol i was going to stop by lowes today see what was left

As a matter of fact one was (actually 2 were)

Just a Olight i3 from goinggear, as a brother for my iTP.

Bought this for $11.99. http://www.dinodirect.com/li-ion-battery-fast-chargers-multifunctionl-cylindrical.html

Thinking of buying this for $9.35: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/ultrafire-wf-501b-ssc-p7-csxo-3-mode-900-lu...

But I'd like to know first how the SSC P7 emitter stacks up to an XML (T6 or U2)...

i got nothing, i'm still brain fuzzled with what to get.. so i ended up buying nothing !...

there are lots of lights i like but they are all to long for my purpose of use.. :-(

i need a guru to rack there brains on whats suitable and what options i have lol..

What do you want then rhino and how much?

M.

well i want a really bright light that does not overheat that i can mount on my cycling helmet, with the option of having a high / mid / low and option of replacing batterys (if run time is not great on high setting)

from generall sites i seem to like the exposure diablo Mk3 but i don't like the price of it hence was looking for a cheaper alternitive.

all of the uni/trust/ultra/cree lights i've seen all seem to be around 6" (15cm) in length which people have said would be to long to mount on the helmet, but other options provided seem to only be half as bright.. humm

but there are so many sites and not all sites give everything you need (like dimension / lumens brightness / battery type) which makes browsing side of things difficult for me.

Rhino,

get a c8 xm-l and ziptie it, i double ziptie onto my pisspot with a bit of sticky back foam twixt light/helmet and it's fine, awesome in fact, with another two on the bars, i like OP reflectors for biking and got two today on the £16.99 KD deal that are really nice, you can always fit it on the bar with one of these if you want anyway, i use them and reversing the torch in the holder gets the Centre of Gravity just ahead of the bar..

Only thing about XM-L T6 on your bonce is that when it's a bit misty it is a bit too much on high as the beam is right above your vision, some folk like an R2 or Q5 in misty conditions but it's no biggy to my mind as you can just go to mid with the XM-L.

I think the $16.99 deal is done but checkout Kaidomain and see if Kai has any specials, i believe the 3 mode can be had there around $19 at the mo and it is a lower amp rating than the ones i got today which i think are at $25 now.

Stay cool,

M.

this is short and bright with good beam shape http://www.dealextreme.com/p/ultrafire-c2-t60-cree-xm-lt6-3-mode-1200-lumen-white-led-flashlight-w-strap-1-x-18650-1-x-17670-90777 :)

Ha ha i'm placeing the order now for hte misses crimbo present ! lol..

re the light i think that would be a good misty day light on med and high on cold clear night :-), i'll have my finger over the hover button :-) cheers.

No black friday flashlights :(

I just got a 32" LCD TV from wally world. Got there at 10:30, got my TV at 12:00am and paid at 1:30am!! It would have been 2:30am if not for the kind fellas ahead of me in the TV line that had their family waiting in the checkout lines. lol

The checkout lines went to the back of the store!!

Rhino mate,

For a fiver it's a good deal, but.......for longevity it may need a disc of copper or brass behind the emitter if there is nothing there - to help heatsinking, it's easy to do just cut a disc to fit and slot it for the two wires and pop it behind the emitter. It's a no-brainer --Just BUY it!

If i were you though i would look at these from a really reliable and nice husband and wife with two kids in a bedsit team and have the best of both worlds ie. power choices and quick signed delivery and a holster in the bargain, the c8 he does is rather nice too and gives 2.8A plus,- i've got four of his C8's mate - for say £13.50 with a holster they are nice and reliable too and do not change modes on a drop-off....even with my Big Hit Expert!.

Checkout Kai's Orange peeler though.

With any of these three on the bars/helmet you're sorted, well almost, 'cos there's room for two on the bars!!!

Hmmm. I think we want the same thing for xmas. I have a Jetbeam III I've been using. The Uniquefire-2100 is XM-L and almost as bright as KD C8. Or you could try out the Shiningbeam SMini XM-L or XP-G.

These meet my requirements for helmet light: Under 5" length (11cm) and 1" (2.5 cm) diameter. There's a YEZL 1M (IIRC) that's the same as the UF. And one of these http://www.dealextreme.com/p/universal-nylon-mount-for-flashlights-and-lasers-12000 .
