Acebeam X70 - 40000 lm - 8*18650 - Active fan cooling

Just seen this shared on the flashlight facebook group.

I want that light… just not the price.

What is the price?

No idea on price yet. They are exhibiting this at IWA in Germany next week. https://www.iwa.info/en/ausstellerprodukte/iwa18/exhibitor-32962487/acebeam

I bet it will cost an ungodly amount of money… But I would love to have it though. I would even add another set of 18650 cells to enable longer runtimes, those xhp 70.2s will be very hungry.

wow, what a powerful light. someone just mentioned active cooling for portable flashlights and there it is!
If I’d only justify spending an absurd amount of money for a flashlight…

Definitely looks interesting. Acebeam told me they will have a 5000k NW version this time.

I just hope the fans are quiet. Usually small fans are louder/whinier

How long does the light run at 40,000 lumens before thermal stepdown (or do the batteries drain before that happens)?

A ring of 70.2s around a central 35 with a deeper reflector, isn’t that exactly what the MF03 was supposed to be, which seems to have stalled now?

If you have to ask its not for you :smiling_imp:
JK :stuck_out_tongue:

I agree it will be an ungodly amount of money. On the other hand the X70vn could be even more

It could be pushed to 70k lumens and beound. There’s not much of a noticable difference in the human eye at a from 40k to 70k lumens. The toll on the 8*18650s will definitely be noticable though.

The Imalent DX80 at 32k lumens is a contender but Acebeam has a reputation of reliability and customer service beound Imalent.

The MF03 and the Olight X9 will also be a contender. The Olight is shooting for an April launch.

wow damn… thats alot of lumens…. crap it probably gonna cost 500$ or more ??!

I’m thinking more…

I’ve been surprised by their price before, but if they make this thing right where the first deliveries work unlike their competition in Astrolux, and it can actually produce 40k lumens until the batteries are the limitation, then I don’t see why they couldn’t charge whatever they wanted. At the very least, they could do that until they have competition because right now no one comes close to 40k continuous.

But lumen will still be cheaper than with almost any other light

$575 retail for x65. This light is going to be $800 something.?

I think a lot > 600 bucks!! :confounded:

That comes pretty close to the size of the GT

MF05 might be aimed to be a direct competitor to this light…

Not sure if it will be direct competitor. MF05 will have 7x XHP70.2 whereas X70 will have 12x XHP70.2.
