MYO XP

Can anyone tell me how to get this apart so that I can try to fix the switch?

Thanks

Tim

Sorry, no helpful answer here, but since I had a Myo 5 before, I thought I’d reply just so you don’t feel ignored.

Have you considered just replacing your Myo XP? I know it’s probably a very useful light, and well made like Petzl’s are, but by today’s standards, it’s not very bright for its size/weight. You could get a brighter headlamp, or one of similar brightness but longer runtime, or one of similar brightness and runtime but smaller size & weight. And if you get one with a good fixed beam pattern, not all flood and not all throw, I don’t think you’ll miss having that diffuser.

I loved my Myo 5 when I first got it. It blew me away. But within 2 yrs, I replaced it with something brighter and with more runtime. Now I have about 4 headlamps.

Tim, you will need the Torx T6 - there are 4 screws at the back of the head, replacing the switch it’s not impossible, but it’s difficult to get the micro-switch that have the same height as the original one.
