[2018-03-10] Scheduled maintenance 10:00PM EST

Hi everyone,

Our server provider has notified me about a brief (~10 min.) maintenance period tonight at 10:00PM EST. All the systems should come back up on their own. I’ll try to monitor things, although unfortunately I will be traveling and unable to keep a close eye on it.

Thanks a lot. Have fun!

BLF has been sluggish and unresponsive for at least twenty minutes now.

I keep getting this error message in Google Chrome:

error

EDIT:  Now I'm getting "502 Bad Gateway."

It took me forever to log in, posting didn’t work several times (the imalent support thread), and 502/bad gateway happened several times as well.

Same here, pages mostly do not load and every now and then one does.

“I used to think that top environmental problems were biodiversity loss, ecosystem collapse and climate change. I thought that thirty years of good science could address these problems. I was wrong. The top environmental problems are selfishness, greed and apathy, and to deal with these we need a cultural and spiritual transformation. And we scientists don’t know how to do that.”   (Gus Speth)

As of right now, BLF is just about completely unusable. It took me a total of 5 minutes to get to this page

Not really.

Very slow, it takes several minutes to load pages. Sub forum 'DIY Part reviews' and 'Flashlight modding' does not load at all, I tried this several times, but no response except '502 Bad Gateway'.

If you are logged in page loading crawls, if you are not logged in page loading is normal.
Unfortunately Admin is out of town.

Seeing problems from here in Scotland, too:

- most requests simply hang forever.
- there’s an occasional “502: Bad Gateway” error from something called NGINX.
- but some requests do occasionally load the page correctly.

Murphy’s Law in action: trust something like this to happen while SB is travelling! The server provider was doing maintenance yesterday, so they’re Suspect Number One…

BLF has been unresponsive and timing out since yesterday Sad
