Yes. I have filled out the survey. How long will it take to send a battery tube?

Thanks.

I have ordinary flat contact 30Q batteries.

Question: How will the use of neodymium magnets affect the overall resistance of the electrical circuit?

Explanation: I can calculate the resistance and get the exact result.
I do not understand the effect of this resistance on the performance of the BLF GT flashlight.

Thank you.

Magnets are not recomended for several reasons, mostly they can fall out and short something out. Much better to solder blob the cells.

If you must use them at your own risk, then they will work but indeed they will add some resistance.

The GT uses a buck driver, so the output can never be more then the 2.5A turbo mode but it can be less if the input voltage is too low.

Hello those who have the xhp 70 and the vn modification,

I just was curious how changing the leds affects the throw and beam width? Is the throw less but the beam wider? Or does the throw stay the same or is the throw even longer? I am trying to understand how the type of led affects width  and throw. I have an Olight sr ut-52 with the Vinh mod that does not affect the internal charging. It is also a good throwing light.

Thanks to the team and esp to TA for his thoughtful and patient approach.

Eric

The XHP70 with dome on dropped the throw on my light from ~2100m to ~1300m.

With the dome off the throw increase to ~1600m.

The beam is much larger, around 2.5-3X the size IIRC. I find the xhp70.2 version to be more practical in the real world but boy is the stock LED pretty and fun to play with.

I am actually considering selling my XHP70.2 GT in a week or 2 once I test the new driver in it.

Will you be selling it with the new driver and the XHP70.2? Can I call dibs? Evil

Yes, that is the plan after I finish testing. Although they might send me another light for the full torture test, not clear yet.

Either way I plan to sell it with the TA driver and XHP70.2 installed and ready to rock. I could even install a CW XHP70.2 if someone twisted my arm hard enough lol.

Just have to wait for the drivers to be ready first. I will be placing the order tonight or in the morning. They should be in next week.

Del gave some really good input as well, I am really liking the newest design.

BLF GT + batteries finally picked up from courier’s office.
Single box with plenty of foam padding. Everything inside was immaculate.

The head is absolutely massive !
Hadn’t had a proper chance to assemble and test out the light yet. Shall do so tonight.

Big thanks to Team Giggles, Neal and Lumintop for their work !

Please keep up the communication to GB members and all will be peachy. Big Smile

The fee is optional, if you do not pay it they will use the cheapest service and it will most likely take much longer to arrive and it less reliable.

In most cases the fee is only around $20-40, usually worth paying for the better service but it is up to you.

In all fairness that was just before CNY when china shuts down for a month. We have just now been back in contact with China over the last several days and so far things are going good but things can only move so fast.

Make sure you have filled out the survey in the OP and your issue will be addressed.

Things are moving forward again now but there is still a lot of clean up to do behind the scenes before we are back to “normal”.

I am working on it and Lumintop and Neal are working with me. It just takes some time.

Apparently they also ran out of the very nice AR coated glass lens. They only found one company that can make them. The good news is they are much faster. They should have the lenses next week.

Sadly the GB is closed but there are some used lights being sold in the for sale section and online if you look around.

Yes, Neal has been very responsive. I think he just got burned out with all the abuse people were sending his way for things outside of his control. Which is understandable.

While he has a direct line of contact and the native language bonus with lumintop, he is still a messenger for many things.

There was just a general breakdown of communication and everything, the CNY was the final straw it seems and everything kind of crumbled for a time.

We are putting the pieces back together more and more every day.

I once again want to applaud Lumintop and Neal for sticking this out. Even after all this hassle and lumintop knowing they could just ditch the GB and sell the lights at full retail for real profits, they are still committed to finishing this GB.

Yes, I am discussing the selling lights outside of the GB with them, that issue is still in the works. I will just say I can’t entirely blame them for what they are doing, but am not happy at all with how they were doing it.

First I wish say “thank you” to Neal, Lumintop and the team for all the work.

Second…no lights sent this week? Crying

No, this week they were out of the lenses, they are supposed to get 1000 more lenses by the end of next week.
