Has anyone received and reviewed the Sofirn SP32A v2.0 already?

Yes.

It is talked about here.

It’s not a full review, but just talked about and described.

My Convoy L6 thread with XHP70.2, Texas Avenger FET driver, Narsil v1.2 ramping firmware (old), lighted side switch and cut down SMO reflector. Lots of amp draws on stock driver as well.

My Supfire L5-S thread with XHP70.2, 26350 cells (4,100 lumen!), Texas Avenger FET driver, NarsilM v1.0 ramping firmware and lighted side switch. My mini L6!

Modded S70S with MTN FET driver, RampingIOS (D4) and lighted side switch.

Which Olight do you have?

I agree. They should stop calling it SP32A. During this time of changing the functions, how is the buyer to know which he/she is getting? Businesses could keep selling old stock for awhile.

An S30RII.

I ordered the v2.0 to act as a “beater” version of this light. Something I won’t worry about losing, or having disappear; a throw-in-the-bag kind of thing. The mode spacing is very similar, with slightly higher levels.

I like and don’t regret the Olight, but I can get three Sofirns for what I paid for it, on sale.

How did you know you were getting V.2.0? Was it advertised like that?

In the Sofirn AliExpress store, the SP32A and SP32A v2.0 are listed as different items (and different prices).

Now the SP32A ‘v1.1’ (faster ramping) — it’s not mentioned, but since I ordered SP32A around Feb 2018, and another time around April or May 2018, the earlier SP32A I got has the very slow ramping (about 8 seconds from low to high) whereas the newer SP32A was faster ramping (about 4 seconds; although still ‘linear’).

I’ve also ordered the SP32A v2.0, still waiting for it to arrive.. as it’s said to have logarithmic ramping (smoother visual brightness).

I think they said closer to logarithmic ramping. It’s still not smooth like narsil, but it’s much better than the first version.
