BLF GT battery tube coupler interest thread

Bringing this topic to its own post.

I’m looking into having a local machine shop make battery tube couplers to be able to run 3 battery carriers for the BLF GT. At this point, this is strictly to gauge interest for now. Once I actually receive my BLF GT in the next batch and take measurements, I can have the couplers made. Price will depend on quantity made, so the more I make the cheaper it will be.

This will be for the coupler only at this time. Buying another battery carrier from Lumintop will be up to you.

Interested, depending on price.

Neal’s Deals , but $5 less when they post ‘bundle price’ instructions.

I already ordered the short tube, interested in the coupler if offered in similar color and reasonable price.

Can you buy the shorty tube and a third carrier? I didn’t see that offered.

Triple tube, triple carrier, that would be epic! Heavy, but epic.

I should probably ask Texas Ace to ask Neal that question if a third carrier would be am available option.

What would be the purpose of a third carrier? I can’t even use up the batteries in two carriers in one night. Adding an additional pound+ of weight doesn’t sound appealing to me. The thing already weighs over 5lbs

Then It would be a big mistake for you to order one, if it’s too heavy for you then you’d be better off just using a shorty tube & one carrier.

I would be interested if the third carrier is available.

The normal two carrier tube is plenty to beat you over the head with.. of runtime

You’d be incorrect. There is no kill like extreme overkill.

I mean, come on! Did you not dream a long time ago of having one of those 6D police Maglites? The only purpose of that many D cells was to use as a police baton.

Lol, had a cop buddy of mine that had one of those.

Seems Neal is not selling the battery carriers by themselves yet. Hopefully by the time I get my BLF GT and can get something made to fit, the carriers will be available. Not giving up hope yet! Maybe Neal will even decide to offer a coupler. I don’t care where it comes from I just want a mega extreme overkill flashlight lol

Additional long tubes (2-carrier) would be nice, as well, if the carriers and couplers become available. I wonder who would build the longest flashlight? Cool

I’m interested, but I was also searching for battery holders since they apparently won’t be available, and I ran across this

https://www.fenix-store.com/fenix-tk75rk-runtime-kit

I wonder if it’s compatible?

It is not compatible
Fenix is 2S2P
GT is 4S

Well shoot. I found another carrier/holder only on banggood – Astrolux, but I’m pretty sure it’s also 2S2P. The description says it’s 8.4V and can use either 2 or 4 batteries, so no go. I guess the GT is special Smile

Edit: adding link – just notice that it says “under restocking” and “coming soon” though

The Astrolux carrier can be bypassed to be 4s. Lexel also offers new PCBs for the carrier to make it 4S. If the carrier fits and makes contact correctly it might work.
