I think that this flashlight is stupid...

I think that this flashlight is plain stupid. Is it made for starting fire or light ?

Look at the videos, a demonstration that you can burn things with it or cook some eggs ???

Only 5 min of burning time and costs $299 !!!

Current flashlights: Mrlite KC-05  -  Ultrafire C3  -  Ultrafire C3 Stainless Steel  -  Romisen MXDL RC-G2  -  AKOray K-106  -  Fenix LD10 R4  -  X2000  -  Trustfire WF-502B MC-E&nbs

There are sillier lights out there - figure like 14,000 lumens spring to mind. Runtimes measured till the light melts are not unknown. Never did understand the crazy bright incandescent devices. Here's a CPF thread on seriously insane bulbs. The Osram 64656 bulb when overdriven can give over 15,000 lumens. For a short time.

The 64657 bulb - nominally 250W can produce even more light. I believe it was one of those bulbs in the TK Monster device that so memorably went boom. Probably about 12,000 lumens out the front till it tried to demolish an apartment. And five minutes of runtime. And $550.

The numbers from my light tests are always to be found here.

That would be the ideal camping flashlight.

Walking at night - use the flashlight,

Cooking - use the flashlight,

Start a campfire - use the flashlight.  Laughing

this would be cool to have. and for 300 bux (i think it used to be 200) i would love it for custom etching (probably easier to use than a dremel)
