Recently embarked on a total revamp of my flashlight lineup and decided to make a list for fun.
Oldest LED light: blue CMG Infinity
-This little guy has served me extremely well over the ~20yrs that I’ve owned it. I did several backpacking trips when I was younger with the low output, single-mode Infinity as my only source of light, mostly clipped to the bill of my ballcap. Still works just fine.
AAA EDCs: 3 Thrunite Ti2’s, fitted with Fenix clips, (1 lost). 2 BLF348, Fenix LD02 (twisty,) Fenix E01 (lost,) Lumintop Tool copper, Reylight Mini copper.
-The lost lights are due to wife and kids lol, not me! The Lumintop and Reylight are my new purchases here, I decided I prefer the Reylight for my use and gifted the Lumintop to my oldest daughter, who was amazed. May have to get the Maratac AAA copper as well if I can catch it on sale sometime, I have a budding obsession with copper lights.
AA EDCs: 2 XENO E03s, fitted with Fenix clips. I really like the aesthetics of these lights a ton, but always wished they started on low and/or had a moonlight mode. Also, one of them developed an intermittent connection issue in the head and is basically dead. Balder SE1, gifted this to a buddy and he returned it dead a couple of weeks later, claims just stopped working. Big disappointment, gave my friend a Thrunite Archer instead that I believe is still going years later. XTAR WK50, bought like 4 of these in pink when they were on Amazon for like $8.5 a while back. Out of the 4 I think 1 still works properly. One had a battery leak in the tube and the cell was stuck so I just tossed it, another has a broken switch, and another turns on but won’t change modes. I could maybe get them back into good working order but haven’t messed with it. Maratac AA copper , recent purchase, like it a lot overall, but the pwm I didn’t think would bother me at first is a bit annoying, bummer.
18650 lights: This is were I really went a bit crazy the last few weeks. BLF Q8, awesome, blown away. Convoy S2+ with Biscotti, awesome. Skilhunt H03, awesome, love the TIR optics and the magnetic tailcap. Sofirn SP31, got into on the $10 Amazon deal with battery and charger, outstanding value for the price. Also finally broke down and ordered the SF36 as well for $10.88. I want to gift one of the Sofirns to my sister and her husband who have a house on 25 mostly wooded acres and don’t have a “proper” flashlight yet. Once I get the SF36 in a couple of days I’ll try to decide with one will suit them better and set them up with a package, maybe just let them pick.

So that’s about it for my ramble, thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, questions welcome. I’m thinking I need at least one more in the near future, something with a good amount of throw. Sort of debating between some flavor of C8, the Emisar D1, or maybe something like the BLF X5 or Astrolux SS. I guess I shouldn’t be in a hurry to decide on that though, plenty of other new stuff to play with at the moment.
