Purchased From GearBest 4th Anniversary Sale, Shipment Went Missing.

Hi BLF members, firstly from Malaysia, sorry if my English is poor, anyone have experience before the situation down below can share with me?
Got sucked into their email stating GB 4th anniversary sale,
Purchased a Huami Amazfit Pace + Usb c cable total USD92 on 22/03/18,
Gearbest status “shipped” on 23/03/18,

Managed to track the site given. and the status is @ 24/03/18 4:15PM Shipment Collected 4:15PM shipment Bound For Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA
until today when I track it, the status remains the same and did not move at all.

09/04/18 I contacted cs and they told me to contact my country shipper I did and the operator told me that the item is not in Malaysia period.
10/04/18 told me that they will call their shipper but need to wait 7-10working days.
11/04/18 got email that my ordered delivery deadline has expired, they found out that i did not purchase insurance, offered option 1 pay USD46to get it reship option 2&3 refund USD46 into my GB wallet / Paypal
I lodged dispute on paypal after phone calling PayPal Malaysia, the representative assure me that I will get full refund if it was proven that the item did not reach me, it does not look into that insurance factor thing that gearbest implements, problem is that paypal Malaysian reps are more like Q&A , but the actual fact is not them who execute the investigation so I’m abit worried.
12/04/19 I write to them its unfair to bill me extra +50% to get it reship or refund me only +50% because the item did not even reach china customs for exporting based on the tracking info. I’m held responsible.
13/04/19 an hour ago i got a reply from gearbest CS that if I still feel that their offer is unacceptable, please kindly wait for the judgement from PayPal , they seem pretty confident PayPal will be with them.

anyone can share their experience the outcome of the paypal dispute? the watch was supposed to be my wife’s birthday gift, now I would have to go to retail shops to buy. PS previously was happy with gearbest even bought imalent dx80 with them didn’t know about that insurance thingy until something bad happens.

Here’s my two order history with Gearbest:

Item 1 ordered on 10/12/17, delivered on 12/07/17.
Item 1 was at US customs (USPS) . . . on 10/24/17.

Item 2 ordered on 10/01/17, delivered on 12/12/17.
Item 2 was at US customs (USPS) . . . on 10/12/17.

hi thanks for your info, maybe my location china to Malaysia is much nearer…my previous orders from GB with above the value of USD 50 takes me 4-5 working days to get delivered, even 4pcs of 18650 batteries value 22usd I bought from them did not take more than 2weeks… , this I’m using express shipping hence the shorter delivery deadline that gearbest give, even aliexpress with standard shipping with track takes 10days - 30days but average around 16-20days to arrive.

Orders from GB have have always come to me and I order a lot from them. Once in a while they seem to get lost and then show up about 45 days later, so you may still get your order.

Haha. My orders from Gearbest have taken up to 8 weeks to US. I have given up on them unless it is a SUPER good deal.

There’s not much choice but wait, but make sure do not pass the PayPal deadline for dispute filing. PayPal transaction notice should have given you the deadline for your country.

I’ve already file dispute on 11/04/18, since gearbest cs already told me that my parcel have to be considered missing since already passed their delivery deadline, I can’t withdraw my dispute from PayPal, I can’t dispute anymore if it really didn’t arrive

Didn’t know you have already filed dispute. Since GB considered missing, you should get a full refund. Except no compensation for all the aggravation and wasted time.

Latest update, thank God PayPal had decided the case in my favor and able to return full amount to me I’m so happy! Glad I did not go for half price compensation by gearbest,
