Brinyte: Let's talk something about bowhunting flashlight

Bowhunting is always a lot of fun. And when go bowhunting at night, you need to bring a light. What makes an ideal bowhunting flashlight in your mind? Welcome to comment or share your bowhunting pictures here( we are also curious about how the bow and light use together  ).

How do you think of this one? (Size: 35*25*130 Weight: 120g)

In my state, usually you’d only use a bow to hunt deer and turkey. And it’s illegal for us to hunt them in the dark.

So we’d use a flashlight to get to/from our hunting spot or to track an animal. That’s about it. Some guys like a red light to get to their spot because it doesn’t mean with their vision as much.

That looks interesting, so far I like it.

Is there any rubber damping material between the thread and the body to reduce vibration/sound?

Can it be tuned in any way to reduce vibration?

Is the switch silent? Last thing you want at 15 or less yards is a loud switch and a big angry pig.

Thanks for the information. Is nighthunting not allowed in most states?

So we learned that should keep all these as silent as possible. Thank you.

In the US, it varies from state to state and even between different types of animal. I’m not too familiar with the hunting laws in other states. In Illinois, we can’t hunt deer, turkey, or waterfowl at night - I would guess that is probably a law in most states. However, you can hunt coyotes and raccoons (and perhaps wild pigs - but thankfully those are not in my area yet). But you’d almost always hunt those with a gun, not a bow. I don’t know of any of my fellow hunters that shoot with a bow a night.

Neighbor and I do a lot of bow fishing here at night. We are just a mile away from the river with lots of slough’s and creeks running to it. We just take turns, one of us spots with the light and the other is following with the bow. We take a couple C8’s with us. They have taken a beating and proven themselves super reliable. Don’t have any pictures to share or anything. Just doing our part to slay some nasty asian carp and have a good time.

No deer, turkey, or bird hunting at night here in Missouri either. Coyotes, coons, fox, and hog are okay at night. No bunnies or squirrel at night either.

That’s a good point. We can do bow fishing at night here too. We’ve got plenty of ditches with carp and gar.

Seems bow fishing at night is quite interesting

Maybe you can go for it this weekend

Oh yes, it’s a bunch of fun alright. Stay out till 3 or 4 in the morning. Telling jokes and lies. Trying to hit moving objects that are underwater with a bow. We usually end up with more sore belly’s and cheeks from laughing than we do fish.

That’s wonderful experience. The flashlight C8 you bring means Convoy C8, right?

It’s a nice break from the house. Get out and enjoy the night. It’s not a Convoy C8, it’s a Sofirn C8A we take with us most of the time. Then I usually will have a C8F and a tube light in my pocket for back up. Either a BLF A6, Thorfire VG15S, Convoy S2+, or a Sofirn SF36.

I have never looked at any Brinyte lights. I think I will do that while I am awake and not able to fall asleep. I have heard the name here and there but never took a look. Think I will.

Thanks for sharing the information.
