and I think it’s brass not copper
Plus, he just found one in his garage! 
Do you really need all copper for a single E21a?
Nichia E21A can handle 5-6A but it’s low output, I’d think he’d be fine with the shell that I linked in post # 4.

Personally I’m looking to use either one of the XHP’s or an MT-G2, I don’t plan on driving it too hard/over-driving it, but I’d like to find a pill with more mass than the thin one in the shell kit. There are some Drop-ins out there, but I don’t wan’t to pay $50-$60, just want the copper pill really, so I’m wondering what kiruba-ru said.
Peak output was at 3 amps though. It survived at 5A but was at 3/8 output as when it was running at 3A.
Yeah I seen that too. No reason to push it much past 3A.
No reason to push it much past 2A actually, at 1.8A you are at 80% of max already.
I am going to put one in a P60 for myself and a customer. I am planning to use a standard shell, but did order a pair of the kiriba-ru P60 bases. I plan linear drive with 5 .380 7135’s. Have built one in an S2+ this way and really like.
I did not see the new one sold as an empty… I do like the look of them! Who is now our contact there? Was BanL?
