Question: have they reduce the ramping time from low to high?

Old version takes 6 seconds which is way too slow. If new version is 3 seconds then I’ll buy 2

The more UI avoids miserable blinkies, the more interest.

I have many friends who will prefer 2xCR123A over LiIon.
I’ve tried … can’t fix it.

Personally I think 3 seconds would be a bit fast, 4 seconds seems about right (Sofirn SP32A)

.
My TK18 takes about 7.5 seconds L to H (purchased @ amazon Jan 10)

The long ramp time may appeal to some users as it allows you to more precisely select your desired level.
For this light I prefer the 4-level (set mode) group, but I’m not a big fan of the reversing circle, takes some getting used to I guess.

Some things I like:

  • Well built
  • Very bright
  • Forward clicky
  • Stainless bezel
  • Pineapple knurling

"Over 2000000 hours (about 200 years) standby time"  (DQG Tiny 4th)

"27,157 results for zoomable flashlight" (ebay)

Here, Thorfire, take even more of my money! Big Smile

Def sounds interesting. Light only; got enough cells and chargers to last me beyond the ZA.

Thanks for the code. Now I just have to wait for them to get the bare light back in stock.

I’m sure I’m deranged but I’m afraid I just had to order the TK18. Oops! Big Smile

Hm? How?

I got the code, went to the page, only option was “preorder” vs “add to cart” or anything, and after clicking, it just went to an empty cart, nothing inside, no “we got youre pre-order”, nuttin’.

I figured I just had to wait a bit more…
