High CRI nerd reporting

Hello all,

I’m an LED lighting hobbyist from Southeast Asia. Before I joined this forum, I have modded a few flashlights (cheap ones made in china) before. I’m currently into high-powered high CRI lighting with the tint between the Neural White and Cool White, particularly if I can have one for cheap. I have recently been shopping around with Chinese vendor from Aliexpress, and more recently Alibaba. I’ll be mostly here to see CRI testings.

Hey how are you doing man? And welcome to BLF! I’m sure you’re familiar with the Noctigon Meteor M43. It currently costs $98, and you can get it with Nichia 5000K 219C 90+ CRI. Many say it’s a bit on the cool side of neutral white, so it may be just what you like.

That’s sure to be one heck of a flashlight. However, $30 is my cut-off price range, and I have recently splurged quite a few dollars on Jaxman E3, and quite a bit more on 30w COBs (from Alibaba, I made a thread on Dealer Experiences there) for upcoming projects. So, there will be quite some time until wallet recovers itself. :money_mouth_face:

in that price range with a coupon Astrolux S41 and S42 in Nichia version
5000K CRI 90

It's a pleasure to have you onboard, rngwn!

Just curious, where is the Noctigon Meteor M43 listed for $98. I think I saw it in Intl-Outdoor listed for around $120+.

98$ is the new price.

Thanks for the info, BlueSwordM, I recall just visiting intl-outdoor’s site maybe a couple weeks ago, so it must be a very recent price drop.
