Would these quad 3535 MCPCBs fit in an XHP70 reflector?

So, hello again!

I recently found a thread in which these MCPCBs where found:

And I want to know if these can be used under an XHP70 reflector/optic, or if they would require special optics.

Thanks for the responses in advance

Bumped, or was the question answered and responded it to already?

I actually ordered a 3V 4-LED XP-L board on ebay. I have a convoy M1 on the way that I will be putting it into, along with a BLF A6 FET driver. The M1 has an orange peel reflector so it should help to make for a nice even floody beam profile. I’ll get a photo of the MCPCB when I get home this afternoon.

Here is the item I ordered: eBay 4 xpl mcpcb

It might need trimmed a little. A xhp 70 is 7 mm and 4 xpg’s together would have the same dimensions but there is what looks like a .5 or 1 mm space between them on that MCPCB. So its gonna be slightly bigger. As for the beam under one reflector it might have a donut hole. The L6 using the xhp 70 had a faint donut hole. Using that MCPCB in a L6 reflector I’m pretty sure is going to increase or intensify the hole more with more spacing from the die’s. The old Cree MCE comes to mind. If I remember correctly when they first came out and were stuck in flashlights they had a donut hole but they improved on the reflector’s and pretty much illuminated the donut hole.

Oh yeah.

That would mean, if I were to put them even in a heavily OP reflector, the problem would be exasperated?

Maybe you can use a tir optic? That should help get rid of the cross in the beam and they have ones that might fit the bigger led combo.
