Got a Solarforce flashlight? Maybe a Solarforce Collection? Show your Solarforce some love and charge it’s cells! :slight_smile:

I have 13 Solarforce lights, in a variety of sizes and functions, from stock (mostly) to highly modified and completey beyond Solarforce’s scope of imagination. Today I pulled all of them off the shelves and am charging all the cells, making sure they’re in top working order and ready to go.

International Solarforce Charge Day? Ok, Maybe not, but hey it sounded good! :smiley:

The S2200, interesting story… Solarforce announced it then went on Chinese New Year’s Holiday. I got my order in inside the 3 hour window of it’s announcement and was one of the very first to have this light in hand, Serial number 9 actually, and everyone that was wanting one had to wait for the Holiday to end. I got it the day my wife had surgery and was playing with it in the Hospital. :slight_smile: It’s been power bumped, is one of the only lights I have that is equipped with protected cells (AW 2600mAh)

The M8, this one has been baked and Bucket made me a copper pill for it, adding a bit of length. It has the MT-G2 in it but is using an FET driver with Zener modification. It also has a Tofty switch in the tail.

I found the L2X relatively recently, ordered it from Australia actually. It has a quad copper pill in it and runs 2S2P on an FET driver Zener modified. Pretty potent little meat tenderizer it is!

Skyline I, the original pencil beam thrower. I played around with this one and ended up with a de-domed XP-E in it for tha sabre like feel. Not a lot of lumens, but with the really deep narrow reflector it sure puts the light down the middle!

The M3 head on an L2, I did a lot of things with this one over the years, it’s currently packing an XM-L2 U4 emitter with an FET driver.

K3 head on an L2 with extension tube, a motley assortment of Ledil lens and MT-G2 with FET Zener modified driver and polished SS crenelated tail cap from Solarforce. Really like how this one performs.

L2M shorty 18350 with a red XP-E2 emitter, the tail cap is off the Nitecore P30, the P30 got this ones SS winged tail cap. :wink:

The PD1 in Aluminum I got for my wife, it’s got an EDC P60 Pill that she likes the UI on and won’t let me change it. Only makes about 630 lumens through an XP-L emitter but she loves it so it’s had this same set-up for years now.

C2000 Carbon fiber 3x18650 has an XHP-70.2 in it, better hot spot and more power than it came with originally.

L2M with an AHorton aspheric and LEDEngin UV emitter, this is really a surprisingly powerful little UV light, running a 18350 Efest cell.

L2M with a tiny 15mm reflector and XP-G2, de-domed and running a power bumped 7135 chip driver, Qlite.

Blue L2P has a Nichia Hi CRI emitter with Solarforces wide angle add-on, it has 2 modes and issues a wide clear beam for close-up style work.

Gold L2P was initially the host for MattAus’s solid copper P60 pill and triple Nichia High CRI, but that pill went into my Texas Lumens Copper light, so it’s Hyperion UI went with it. This is now carrying a P60 drop-in with de-domed XM-L2 and bumped Qlite.

Solarforce was the main attraction when I got started here, the P60 format was golden and all the rage. When was the last time anyone bought a P60 drop-in? lol

This is the L2C in carbon fiber, with an LT-1 lantern attachment. Nichia High CRI emitter with 3 modes, great to have around when the power goes out.

Awesome solarforce family you have, mine is much smaller. My fav maybe the L2T stainless and still have them.
One was used in work for a good while with a quad xp-g2 5000k as a beater. Tough as old boots!

Had a few others but gifted a while back, other than the stainless L2T’s, the P1d was a tank of a light. Still have that as a spare host in work, all beat up! Have a P1 somewhere as well.
p60 wise, i still love them and still on the lookout, something that has kept my interest over the last few years. I just dont get bored of swapping hosts/drop ins around. My fav though are the surefire c2/z2/6p etc, so much so i have dupes(well up to 5 in some cases like the 6p) for work specifically. That way i can keep my rarer ones looked after yet still enjoy their tank of a host.

What an excellent collection, I have the L2, L2T, L2T Stainless Steel, L2M. Only a few dropins though and I never use any of the lights. (all still in packaging).

Cool guys! I always loved that SS L2 but somehow never got one.

How awesome would it be if Solarforce popped up with a Titanium variant of that light? Oh I’d be all over that, if I had to sell something to raise funds! :smiley:

The M8 always struck me as the epitome of a great working light, is the M8 a clone of the Jacob A60 or is it the other way around? No matter, the Solarforce M8 is better made and with this very large chunk of copper on it, the thing is a beast! My favorite Solarforce light, hands down.

I also have lots of Solarforce hosts, but none of their dropins. I prefer dropins from intl-outdoor with better tints.
My best dropins are custom made by user bushwhacked - thanks again! :+1:

MattAus made a solid copper P60 drop-in that was silver plated. He’d build it up with his own Hyperion firmware (lot of user adjustability) and pot it with epoxy. Best P-60 drop-in ever. :slight_smile:

He was designing our FET drivers and such, then he up and got married and disappeared from here. lol

I think I have 4 of them left now + one spare body for my ever trusted L2T work light (which Im STILL unable to replace because of either size, clip OR button size loc.).

Just got C2000 recently. Too bad, seems like there’s barely anyone interested in it anymore. I still hope for Solarforce’s comeback, though.

The Solarforce line-up is still viable, they’re well made lights after all and have some style to em even if they aren’t pushed hard or spectacular… they’re good flashlights. Granted, the C2000 was the last one I got but I also got the smaller carbon fiber light and should probably see if they have anything new going on. :wink:
