Sorry if that has been asked before, haven’t seen anything on the last few pages of this thread.

Any info on when you get new stock of the XP16?
Since my order contains some I am thinking about adding two 219C 5700k presoldered on XP16.
Can’t order that using the shop tho since the XP16 are listed as out of stock.

Hank’s help is on the way. Asked him for fast EMS shipping. Should be here early next week.

That is awesome.
Can you add two 219C 5700k presoldered on XP16 to my order please?

If I did the math right that would be 2 × 5.85$ = 11,7$.
Question on how to handle payment remains. Should I wait till you put them up in the shop again or another paypal payment?

UPDATE 180714:

- The rest of non XP16 orders dropped at the post office today. The tracking numbers will follow tomorrow.

- XP16 orders processing will start tomorrow (received the XP16 from Hank yesterday)

Note: all soldered orders packed in wooden box, that’s why it takes longer than usual. I just want to make sure all LEDs safe and secured throughout the journey.

I said they’re all (non XP16 orders) dropped in the post office today. That means I just need to get the tracking numbers tomorrow when I ship another shipment. Yours already there. It takes time for the officer to process all those packages. I usually don’t want to wait for an hour, better to just get the receipt the day after.

Flashlight parts in a wooden box, how classy! Cool

The top environmental problems are selfishness, greed and apathy, and to deal with these we need a cultural and spiritual transformation. And we scientists don’t know how to do that.”   (Gus Speth)

When you have too many used crates and not willing to share with the swarming termites…. I’m not a cheapo, I just love recycling.
I remember sending Jensen567 his order in a (cleaned) sardine can LOL

@Maukka: Please check your post office. Your and _ The _ packet already sitting in Finland post office. They said you asked them not to deliver the packet yet. You only have 14 days and the packet will be destroyed.

Thanks,
Clemence

UPDATE 180723:

All orders except those with additional special request, shipped today.

Finally, 65 0f 68 orders are done, shipped!
Sorry for being very slow. I had to keep both this GB and the store orders process flowing. Those of you made last minute changes were queued back behind to keep it FIFO. This was a bad decision and timing, (GB + new product launch) too many things going on. I learnt something. Some might think those wood packings are way overkill, they’re not. Shipping soldered LEDs + MCPCBs is trickier (especially those 20+ mm) than bare LED/MCPCB. I rather get it done overly packed than handling/filing complaints afterwards. After all of these I think it’s time to find an assistant.

So, I thank you all for the patience. Enjoy your last 219Bs!! Party

Guys, looks like Chatika Vas Paus needs help on advice to get his stuff from the custom in Poland. Any help from Poland BLF member will be greatly appreciated. Please PM him.

Many thanks,

Not sure about Poland but if they behave like other customs in Europe he will need a proper invoice from you so they can calculate the customs fee.

The situation is just a bit complicated (at least for me). The point is that Clemence has issued an invoice for me to a lower amount than the one that is on the payment confirmation with Paypal (yes, I must also send a payment info from PP). Should I just send them, or what?

Just send or take both. Let them decide what to use.
You did nothing wrong, not your fault that the amounts don’t match so just play innocent ignorance and all is well.
Might have to play a little higher tax but still should get your stuff.

I think so to. You have the $51 real invoice vs the $46 they asked (although I wrote it $50)

Some R9080 goodies arrived on Friday, and today one of my Emisar D4s got loaded with rosiness. Love

Here’s a comparison with an early D4 with 219C 5000K 80+ CRI emitters. Click photos to embiggen:

Here’s a comparison .gif:

Both tints are pleasant, and I get accustomed to either one after a few minutes. Only when compared to each other in person are the differences very obvious. I prefer the 219B.

The photos were taken with a custom white balance for each tint, so they look nearly identical to the camera. I think the reds get redder with the 219B, as expected.

I put a 219B 4500K R9080 in my AA-powered Zebralight H51w about a year ago, so I’m used to seeing only about 150 lumens of this tint. Party This rosy D4 will be the perfect companion to the rosy headlamp when hiking.

Thanks again for all your hard work, Clemence! Thumbs Up

EDIT: Photos updated due to white balance issues.

I’m afraid to risk the ones I have coming in on a FET light; I plan to put one in a AAA light and hold onto the rest until I’m ready to do a triple; probably either series boost or just plain linear.

I’m a bit nervous too, but I’m running ToyKeeper’s Andúril UI with the ‘ramp ceiling’ set to a reasonable level.

I’ve bumped it up to turbo a few times just for a moment though. No smoke yet… Big Smile
