Keeppower Protected 26650, who actually manufacturers them?

Anyone know who actually manufacturers the Protected Keeppower 26650 5200mAh batteries?. IC is made in Japan but batteries are made in China. My protected 18650 3500mAh batteries from Keeppower are the Sanyo MCR18650GA's but data sheet for the 26650 just says "China Brand".

This is a good question.

l have not seen any Japan or Korean manufacturer having the 26650, but what l know is that 26650 cells routinely exceed their factory mAh specs.

For how long will these cells last compared to the major 18650 brands, that remains to be proven.

Edit: I just remembered now: I wondered about this myself when I had my first 26650, Kingkong brand. Rated at 4,000 mah, but discharge tested in my iCharger at that time got at least 4,100 IIRC. The king during its time Got deeply discharged just once and it never was able to recover.

Was hoping the cells aren't coming from one of the facilities who also manufacture the "fire" brand batteries that have been sketchy.

Definitely not, Ultrafires and the rest of the gang are laptop pack re-wraps at best and some has even sand inside at worst.

Well that's still a relief. I read that about sand inside, what a bunch of dangerous crooks to even think about doing stuff like that.

For all intents and purposes, these 26650 are made somewhere in a Chinese factory, and I must give credit to this being the first time specs are not exaggerated, they are even conservatively under-rated, that coming from an unknown Chinese manufacturer!
