First time poster (long time shadow reader though, what a great forum) 
Just got a new Ultratac k18 from a HK seller.
It’s a fine, fun little light.
It does have a few little (?) quirks I think, and I’m not sure what quality level to expect so I thought maybe someone here would be able to confirm if this is within normal or I got a dud?
1. Strobe - only strobes with a fresh Alkalines. With NiMh, strobes on a freshly charged batt and on a near empty batt, but not in between (it begins strobing but turns off after a short flicker).
2. Mode memory - when switched off from High, it’ll not switch-on on High - rather it would flash once, and then would go Low on next attempt.
3. 10440 - I bought the bundle including 10440 battery + screw-on micro usb charger.
I charged the batt until charger led went green, it took about 45 min.
Put the flashlight head back on, and the thing worked, all modes, brighter. But after just a few seconds I got the LVP signal!
I thought it did not charge well, so charged it again (after cleaning all contacts, just in case). This time charging was complete in maybe 25 min.
Same behaviour, maybe even worse - it would only hold for a few seconds on High and drop to Low+LVP.
Unfortunately I don’t have a multimeter here to check the battery…
Anyone experienced similar issues?
Would apperciate any suggestions.
