Pretty decent mid level quality for price point. I own 2 of them.

Do you really want them to, at about $14 shipping?

If you can manage to get anything shipped from the US to Africa for $14 you’re doing pretty good.

Thanks for the deal. The SF36 will make a nice replacement for the DumpsterFire WF-502B I got not too long ago.

My SF36 arrived quickly. Great price, nice light, but I already knew it would be — I already have the SF36W.

Mood: Dull & Dirty, like Nichia.

It’s father’s day this weekend, always a good excuse to spoil yourself, and if you don’t have any kids and she calls you out on that, tell her “well none that you know of……”

There’s a father’s day D4 coming my way.

Beam me up!

From Amazon? Yeh. Had that once. Showed it was shipped, Amazon was throwing errors that the tracking number wasn’t on the system, contacted the seller, said to just give it a while.

It arrived, no problem. I missed being able to track it every step of the way, but it made it.

Figured even if it got lost or something, make a big enough stink and it’d still be covered. No tracking is Amazon’s glitch, not mine, so I shouldn’t have to take the hit.

But yeah, the number off the package did track just fine, showing all the steps. Just that no one recorded ir or something.

I got my Sofirn SF36 today.

I like it so much, I think I'm going to EDC it instead of my BLF A6.

I never thought I would like an $11 flashlight so much!

EDIT:  I was going to give it to my family, but not if I like it.  :P

UPDATE:  I just ordered one for the family.  I think the sale ends in less than an hour.

I’ve had that issue with Amazon too. This is a little different. I tried posting a picture but apparently it’s freaking impossible on this forum or it requires a form of black magic I’m unfamiliar with. I’ve tried IMG tags, direct links, nothing works. Anyways, the message I got says this.
“Your package was shipped Friday, June 15. This order was purchased from and shipped by a third-party seller, Sofirn. They did not provide tracking details for your package. Please contact them if you need further information.”

That happen to me to. I am signed up with the USPS Informed Delivery. I got the tracking number from there and was able to track it to my house. If you get a lot of packages through USPS it’s kinda neat to have. They will send you text messages to your phone or just emails letting you know every step of your deliveries. It even takes pictures of the mail you are getting that day and emails it to you every morning. They have a smart phone app too I think. I have never used the app so I can’t speak to that.

https://informeddelivery.usps.com

Check it out if you don’t use it already.

I do love my SF36! So… I decided to give it an illuminated tailcap today. 3 blue LEDs and 3 white. No bleeder resistor needed; it functions perfectly without it. (it’s cousin, the VG-10S also underwent there same treatment)

Gchart,
Which switch did you use?

You guys should just use the flashlight app on your cellphone like a normal person

It’s like my current avatar. It’s a PD68 Rev5.3 top board, dual channel. I kept the same switch board that was already in the light (it’s a small omten 1288 style)

Mine came USPS in just four days.

I've had quite a few Amazon items delivered by USPS.  It might have something to do with living within 15 miles of two Amazon fulfillment facilities.  And, UPS has an air hub here too.

Great... Carnac the Magnificent tells me I just signed up for yet another expensive hobby.

With your hand surrounding that light, it looks like the socket of a monster eye, intentional?

I’d really like one. But if Sofirn doesn’t want to list them on the Canadian site…that’s ok because Thorfire does. shrug

My SF36 arrived very quickly.
I must say, the build quality is top notch.
Butter smooth threads.
Anno is perfectly even.
SS bezel & STRONG pocket clip.
What’s not to like?
