So, here another picture of my GT mini that has an off-centered XP-L HI. Until today, I have not received any response from Neal. Sad

I just hope that bezel can be unscrewed somehow by using a strap wrench. What do you guys think? Is it worth the effort or should I leave it as is?

The spot on the wall looks quite patchy but my camera won't be able to capture this for the sensor will automatically adapt to the intense brightness.

Intense brightness? Turn it down real low.

I don't know how to really describe it. One half of the spot's rim (zone between spot and spill) is a bit eclipsed and the other half looks as if the brightness "bleeds out" into the spill. I need to fiddle about the right camera settings to make this visible on photo.

Try turning down the ISO to 100.

I think what you’re describing is a lopsided corona.

I opened up a friends GT mini for him and removed the driver, flashed Anduril. Now, I know good and well that my own did not react well to Anduril being flashed and I even lost the light at the switch. But wouldn’t you know it, this one flashed perfectly! The green light came on when I clipped on the Pamona clip, went off when the flash was in progress, came back on when it was done. The light works perfectly. Have no idea what would be different but of course my own was much more problematic, even much more difficult to remove the bezel… this one the bezel came off pretty easily.

And so it goes…

Do you mean Neal? If that’s the case, thank you very much for your help! Beer I would be really glad to hear some feedback from him.

Did you get any response from Neal yet? Meanwhile I sent him another PM but I got no response either. Somehow I begin to feel quite irritated. Sad Anyway, I appreciate your efforts to help me.

I am sad to report that I too have problems with my BLF GT Mini switch. Many times it does not respond to my click and acts strangely. I did notice i can sometimeseliminate the problem if i carefully put the pressure on the right edge of the button. But still, unreliable.

Light has been bought form Neil, i am going to contact him in a few moments…

Received my replacement head from banggood two days ago. The package it was shipped in did not inspire confidence (just a plastic bag and a sheet of foam) but the replacement seems to be functioning correctly now. So my issue is resolved for now but I’ll update if I have more issues in the future!

Hi, this is my first post here so hope it’s OK to reply.. I have an issue with the switch on my GT Mini. It intermittent doesn’t respond to my clicks, it also switches itself off and sometimes flickers when ramping up/down the brightness.

I bought from NealsGadgets and I’m hopeful Neal will resolve it for me, I love this light!

Hi, thanks for the warm welcome!
I have contacted Neal, although only this evening (UK) so I am giving him a good amount time to respond Smile I have complete faith he will help me sort it out, however that needs to work. I adore the light so hopefully it will get sorted, if not.. just an excuse to buy more lights! Big Smile

If it was not a glued frame, I could replace the driver itself. In this situation, please new head.

Yep, the glue killed the idea of a simple driver replacement for me too. Sad
Be sure to PM or email Neal about this if you have not already.
Good luck. Thumbs Up

To update my situation, I received my replacement head from Neal today, very happy with his service! Fingers crossed this switch will not have issues. It does feel firmer and a more positive click but that might just be because it’s new.

I did manage to get partial refund (didn’t get refund for short tube nor shipping) from BG, it all took a while but I’m somehow less dissapointed.
