XP-G2 OK @ 3.7V ?

XP-G2 OK @ 3.7V ?

Thanks.

I know I have a Sofirn SF14 with the XP-G2 in it and I run 14500’s in it. They are a 3.7v LiIon.

Thank you, very much appreciated.

According to Cree specs the XP-G2 has a forward voltage of 2.8V at 0.35A and 3.1V at 1.5A.

Generally you’ll have some sort of resistance or current regulation between the battery and LED to “burn off” the excess voltage (as heat).

Depends on the cooling it has.

Given adequate cooling it will handle the voltage of a fully charged Li-ion = 4.2V, although it will be pulling ~5A but with voltage drop and resistance you would be lucky to see 3.5A @ 3.5V
