Electrical advice needed for a dummy!

I have recently bought a Pac man Ghost light - LINK and it comes with no power supply, just a micro USB cable to plug into a laptop/pc which isn’t a whole lot of use really. I would like to power it using a USB plug (mains). The device is rated as 5v 500ma. I know nothing about this sort of thing really but I have found an old usb mains plug that is 5v 850ma output which is quite low compared to my others which are mostly 2a output. Do you think this 850ma one will damage it, or is the difference in ma negligible and unlikely to break it?
Some advice from someone who knows about these things would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any help.

It cannot break - the light will consume as much as it needs.

As long as the output is greater than the device, you’re fine. Should work just fine, no reason for there to be damage

Thank you so much guys for the replies :+1:

Thanks! I also had such a problem, but it successfully solved. I often have this kind of problems, and even when I was at university, assignments where I have to use the law for solving conservation of energy problems were difficult for me, but I could always find answers if I looked on the Internet.
