I have for some time used this one
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/aurora-ak-p7-5-ha-iii-ssc-p7-c-2-mode-900-lumen-led-flashlight-with-assault-crown-1-18650-15739
But now I'm looking for something better (XML), but i want something similar in size, few modes (to much clicks otherwise). I would like a zoom light, but
I have understand that XML and zoom don't work that well.
My current flashlight is pretty floody and I like that but I can use a bit more trow. My budget is around 30 USD.
What do you think of these ? Other recommendations ?
Don't go for the UltraFire KF-T60 it may have a resistor in the tail cap to get the Low mode there for you are still using 2.5 Amps on high and low mode.
I would go for the UniquireFire DP1 I have the P7 version of this light and it's good.
I think you will be more than happy with the C8. It feels "less expensive" than the Aurora but it is a great all-purpose flashlight with better throw and brighter than the Aurora overall.
Well you get the battery tube for free to use it with a 18650 battery, so no need to buy a battery or a charger. And I see there are still positions left for the free 26650 battery.
No offense, but if I was a cop I would not buy my EDC from MF or DX (unless I got a Fenix), and I would budget at least 2-3 times as high.
Solarforce at the bare minimum with an upgraded pill, but not sure I would even go that route. And I would want a light that would work with 2x Cr123 batteries, so I could have some spares I knew were charged.'
Not sure if Shiningbeam ships to Sweden, but I would look at the Pocket Rocket and the Blaze, maybe at a Klarus as well.
I can't wait to see some feedback on the Fandyfire HD2010. The reflector is very shallow but it looks like it will rival the X9 for single cell thrower and it's much shorter.
