I think Sofirn company is somehow related to Thorfire.

What was revealed in another thread is that Sofirn is the manufacturer for Thorfire, which explains why they can sell Q8 original components. Sofirn only in the last year has started branding their own lights, and seem to be fast developing a name for themselves along Convoy lines. Good quality and excellent value, with a concern for what is important to our niche market.

Beam me up!

I don’t know sofim, I will check.

Speaking of Thorfire have you seen the BLF Q8? I don’t use mine that often because it is a bit big for edc, however it’s a great light especially for the group buy price of $40.

Thanks, I don’t know much about sofirm and thirfire, I did a check and think their price is good.

A hello from Hong Kong!
(Basically a city in China)
In my place there aren’t a lot of people who are enthusiastic about flashlights, probably because I live in a concrete jungle, and one rarely needs to use any lights. I’m glad that BLF exists.

P.S.
I reckon that a Convoy S2+ extension tube(e.g. 2× 18650 Convoy S2+) would be a popular idea.

Welcome. I’m thinking for high rise filled megapolis like HK, throw lights like the BLF GT would be fun so you can shoot light at other buildings from your decks or roof tops. I’m sure people all over the city will be taking pictures of the mysterious beam and posting on facebook like it’s an alien or secret weapon testing. No point for flood lights because the neon lights everywhere already floods the entire city.

AWTACT, “Welcome to BLF”!
I read that you wan’t to make flashlights, what is very interesting!
You have different examples given here about manufacturers and people that make flashlights! I would add Rey Ye (member WWEFANS, from ReyLight).

You have some options: make rare custumized lights that normally cost more to buyers, or enter the “mass” production style! I will figure out what are your best possibilities! What I can say is that we will be looking for your creations Wink

I wish you luck and hope to see you around!! Thumbs UpBeer

BTW, awesome flashlight collection Wink

Also you can look at Emisar series flashlights also made in China that has been hugely popular here. I would love to see someone make a 21700 flashlight with 7x emitters like the DQG Tiny 3th that is also easily modable so we can change drivers and emitters like the Convoy flashlights. Wink

Hank, the maker of the Emisar brand was trying to make a 7x emitter flashlight after the Emisar D4 but recently discarded the project for some unknown reason. A lot of people have been anticipating that flashlight and disappointed to find out it’s no longer in the making.

If Fenix refuses our pitch for a fully potted Yuji E01, do consider making one by cloning the original’s electronics. That would rock.

Slow is smooth; smooth is fast.
