Today I will receive a light from Australia from a Giveaway. IDK, but I guess I will pay a lot of money for a light that was…given (offerred). If I don’t pay for it (custom taxes and other fees) , maybe I risk to get your LT or even entering your GAW (I didn’t enter so far due to the risk of wining and having to pay custom taxes and all those things).
Let’s see today’s situation and I’ll tell you something later. But don’t get stuck ’cause of me!!
Just curious, how much does it cost to get something sent from person to person rather than a company sending you something. I really don’t know how any of it works or what it cost.

I don’t think they make the distinction between company and particular person, but I will find it today when I get the light sent from member OutdoorsIQ . I JUST FOUND OUT!!!
When I bought from MTN, I paid 65,19€ for the package (materials + shipping) and more 27,44€ just for the custom fees. So the problem is not shipping, it is internally. They apply taxes to (some) things coming from outside the EU. China packages, depend on the size and declared value. But from what I was told, everything from USA (packages, not letters) stops at customs :person_facepalming:
So this LT Worm and eventually the Convoys may stop at customs as well. Then, to confirm it was an offer, without commercial value, I would have to fill a form with my data, your data and the package data (including dimensions, weight, shipping fee and unit value of the lights). SO…I’m not sure I wanna go though all that again.
I had to PM and mail OutdoorsIQ lots of times so that I could get all the information correct.
BTW, the package from OutdoorsIQ has just arrived. Inside there’s a Olight MST Warrior, offered! You wanna know how much I paid just for Custom taxes??? 39.29€…….This is about $42USD….
So…I guess I will pass the LT and the Convoys GAW as well 
I guess I will only enter EU and Chinese GAWS from now on, otherwise I will have to pay thousands of € of offered things :person_facepalming:

Well that is just ridiculous. What does it cost you to have a letter delivered. I will tape a package to it. I had no idea it cost that much to receive a simple product or gift. Exactly who is making money on this? And lots of it.
Letters are for free. Boaz sent me some diffusers (Dc-fix and other stuff) in an envelope and I didn’t have any issue or cost with that. But packages (big or small)…they are paid heavily as far as I can see! Even if they are offers
This is one of the reasons why I wished MTN had something alike in Europe (well, we have some sellers such as Lexel, kiriba-ru and led4power, but they don’t have all the drivers and led MTN has), ’cause that way I wouldn’t have to pay that much, only the materials + shipping.
The Customs are making money with this. Even the postman said “You’ve paid too much; some people are lucky and ”escape” the random control, but others aren’t”. I am one of these :person_facepalming:
So I will “cry” on this for a while and then wipe my tears to make a review of the light I just received :zipper_mouth_face:
