Random blinking from my Emisar D4

Why is my D4 randomly blinking? It’s almost as if I am loosing and tightening the cap but both the tail cap and head are completely tight. I saw other stories about this but didn’t see a solution. Any advice?

If it’s like a raising and lowering of the output without touching the switch, mine was cured by recalibration of the thermal limit through the ui

Did you put a Solarforce type pocket clip on it? If you did you need to put some kind of spacer in the tail cap to make up for the thickness of the pocket clip. The top edge of the tube needs to contact the tail cap. Other than that I would make sure if you are using a flat top battery that the top of your battery is not indented and everything is threaded properly. Excess build up of gunk and junk on the driver, inner tail cap, tops of the tube should be clean and clear of any stuff as well.

Also make sure your battery voltage is good. Sometimes my flashlights start flickering when the voltage gets too low and they start stepping down to lower levels.

Thanks for the responses so far. Just for information, my light is very clean and only two days old. The blinking is the same blinking it goes through when you reconnect the lock out at the tail switch, only I didn’t lock it out or unlock it to cause it to blink. And the belt clip is the same clip that comes with the order from international outdoors.

Emisar D4 will blink twice when at the 100% 7135 level and when it hits full turbo it blinks again.

Ok…but this is happening while it’s off, by itself.

I think I would give Hank a call or email at Intl-Outdoors. I bet he would take care of your problem. Kind of sounding like a driver problem which you most likely won’t be able to fix yourself. Hank is good people and always helpful.
