Brightest 18650/20700/21700 pocket rocket with tail switch + USB charging?

Hi!

Long story short: What I’m basically looking for is a D4 (could also be a little larger but should easily fit most pockets) with tail forward press clicky and USB charging. Just the brightest lights that fit that category. Maybe also easily doable mods (I do can solder, I just don’t have much clue about the electronics).

Ideas? I just can’t find anything even close of being in the same ballpark as the D4. ThruNite TC12 V2 is larger and has only 1100 lumens. Klarus XT2CR 1600 lumens. BLF A6 and S41 both at 1600 lumens don’t have USB charging (which I really want in an EDC and - edit - I think they are reverse clicky also). S42 has USB charging but no tail switch. None of those is even remotely close to 3k+ lumens.

Any suggestions?
Cheers and thanks!

check out new d4s… it’s a d4 with 26650……

Meh. I’m a derp and meant to write 18650. Also the D4s again neither has USB charging nor a tail switch.

but a D4 is the brightest for what, 30 seconds? Dont you want something more along the lines of highest sustainable output?

There’s more to “brightness” than just lumen ratings. The throw of a light among other factors, will play into how bright a light looks. A 500 lumem light with a pencil beam will light up a spot much more than a 1000 lumen floody light.

Also remember it takes 3x to 4x the lumens to look approximately twice as bright. You’d be hard pressed to see the difference between 1000 lumens vs 1600 lumens, all wlse being equal.

Finally, as someone also stated, at smaller physical sizes, heat is your enemy, a 3000 lumen light will only be able to thermally sustain that for a few seconds.

Here are lights under 40mm diameter with an integrated charger of any kind, sorted by output.

Eagletac DX3B, small rechargable and plenty bright. Look around for a good deal. Picked up a used one on Ebay for $45 a few months ago.

I know that . I don’t want to have the highest output for more than a couple of seconds. I just want to have it. I would buy the D4 if it had USB charging and a tail switch.

I appreciate the link, but I have noticed a couple of times that this database seems to be lacking a lot of lights, even popular ones. Like the Emisar D4. Which is why I’m asking here

No tail switch, but looks interesting nevertheless!

Acebeam L16 and L30

Edit: not really pocket rockets LOL

Acebeam EC65: Acebeam EC65 review (21700, 4x XHP35 HI, cool white)
(Yeah, no tail switch! But USB-C charging , 18650 or 21700 battery, 3000 lumens! And a large amount of money out of the wallet… :confounded: )

Looks interesting too. Maybe the price will drop too at some point too  But definitely saved for later.
