Are there any distinctive differences to tell between the older and newer versions of the SF14?
I picked up a couple SF14’s a few weeks ago (on AliExpress) and love them! They’re the perfect size for pocket carry. I created my Booster Tail boards specifically with them in mind (illuminated tailcaps that can run off NiMH, Alkaline, or Li-Ion).
The output of the SP32A v2.0 was reduced to protect the life of the components.
Turbo (1300lm) steps down to High (500) after 3 min., and High down to Medium (160) after 3 hrs.
On the earlier version, Turbo (1550) lasted for 2 min., and High (900) for 3 min, before going down to Med (160), so it effectively has one fewer useful mode for sustained usage.
I'm interested to hear the differences between the older and newer versions of the SF14. While I didn't see the code listed in the original message, I see the code listed on the Amazon page for the SF14 $22.99 Flashlight with Battery combo bringing it down to $16.09. The code is under the "Special offers and product promotions" section.

32a v2.0 is still bright with the 1300 lumen max output. It used constant current driver and high qulity reflector, the beam shot is more beautiful and stable.
This forum thrives on details. What is the specific improvement in anodization? How is the construction improved? How specifically will performance be more stable? Why the decrease in lumens (even though it should be hardly perceptible)?
How will a user know they received a new version? Why didn't Sofirn give this flashlight a new designations, such as SF14A? Thanks.
When I checked for PWM on the previous SP32A, I can detect PWM on all modes except Turbo and the 3rd brightness level (which by the way, consumes around 0.36A, likely indicating this is max regulated current).
On the SP32A v2.0, there is no PWM when I shine the light thru a portable fan blades.
Right now, the long press is used for switching between the 2 mode groupings.
I would like Sofirn to set the default to moonlight|low while in ramping mode though.
Currently, the default is set at medium and you long press (while light is on) to ramp down.
