I recently purchased an Emisar D4 Ti plus accessory Ti 18350 tube, with Nichia emitters. I have since ordered a second D4 with the XPL Hi emitters, based on owner comments that this combination produces a little less flood and a little more throw. This light shows to have been delivered to my home in Texas, and I will be evaluating them side-by-side this weekend. If it indeed provides a noticeable difference in beam pattern, it will be favored and I will sell the Nichia version.
My Nichia Ti D4 has had approximately 30 minutes total play time, and has never been carried or dropped, so it is in as-received condition with no dings and all accessories, spare body, and original box. The only thing I’ve noticed is that the copper finish has begun to darken after handling.
